I went around my mates house today and he had bought FIFA 06 released in the UK today and in a tournament i plauyed as Parma.

Posative:

Kits looked Nice
No Champion sponser
They say Corradis name!! a few others as well but i cant really remember)
The game is fairly good!!
Bonera is rated as 81
Corradi as 80
Parma are rated as 3 and a half stars which is fairly good. so are West Ham and Chalrton and Charlton are probly better than us so thats ok.
They had a few Banners saying "BOYS" on them at home.
Our team chemistry(what ever that is) is rather high.
Negative:

Crociati kit is our away kit.
NO: Delvecchio,Coly,Couto, couldnt see Bucci either may be wrong though.
MORFEO HAS BLONE HAIR STILL
They diddnt appear to say to many Parma players names i heard Corradi mentioned alot though.
The game defaults to 4-4-2 and without Delvecchio it plays Dedic up front who is ranked 59.
There are more i will edit when i remember.
Morfeo is defaulted to the bench(whats wrong with Mimmo FIFA  )

Ratings here are some i remember

Lupatelli about 60
Bonera 81
Cardone 66
Cannavaro 68
Pasquale 70
Grella 70
Corradi 80
Dedic 59
Morfeo 72

Sorry i couldnt remember all of them.

The game its self was a big improvement.

Feel free to ask me any questions i will do my best to answer them.

Is the game worth buying? Cause last year I bought both Fifa and Winning Eleven 8 and honestly..there was no comparison. WE8/Pro Evo 4 blows Fifa 2005 out of the water with regards to gameplay. How much "improvement" has been made?

I played a few matches and had never got Fifa 05 but all my mates couldnt believe how much better it was than 05 they said it was really good. Gameplay is alot better on 05 i played once all you did was run thrown the defense and score in this corrsing was better corners and free kicks were different and it was a little harder to score but at the same time better. I wouldnt buy it yet until Winning X1 comes out as you call it!!

I'll prob just rent it and see what its all about. I think it comes out in Canada, October 4. It's gonna get pretty busy soon if I get Fifa...with midterms, NHL starting on Oct. 5 (Go Leafs Go!), and with Parma stuff to worry about.

ur probably right, but i'll rent it nevertheless...there's always hope

Fifa always sucks. I've heard the most hype out of them and yet they fail BIG TIME. never have they live up to the hype they give to their games. fecking idiots. I really hate this game. It's not even funny.

WE 8 kicks ass...

Dredg I cant believe you like FIFA, I always respected your opinion a lot but this one is hard fault :D
How can you "support" an unrealistic arcade game like FIFA??? Just reading the stuff that Talent posted I want to vomit! Morfeo with blonde hair? Crociata as 2nd shirt? They might have the licences but the gameplay súcks and the rest too. FÙCK FIFA!
WE 9 is so much better, its the most realistic football game that ever appeared on a computer. Nothing is predictable, everything is possible. Morfeo has curly dark hair and Crociata is our home shirt :)
FORZA WE/PES!!!

You know EA haven't done their research when they still have Morfeo with blonde hair...that or the designers are the laziest fĂşckers ever...

I haven't bought an EA title since FIFA RttWC...They are typical of what happens when you become too big for your own boots...you start knockingout cráp titles because the men in suits then take over and start to push the game designers to develop so many games per year so that they can make more money...what counts is the bottom-line now at EA and has done since about 1999...Eidos are another example of a developer who have just churned out cráp after cráp and riding the Tomb-Raider and now the Championship Manager series to shít (Not to be confused with SIgames who make FM Manger).

I prefered it when EA use to take their time and actually put some thought into their games...they've lost all their creativity...and it's the reason why so many games designers leave EA...

Fifa was actually alot better i have to say that. I only played a few games but apparently there is a manager mode where you go out and scout players at training grounds and things like that.

I will wait until Pro Evo comes out before i decide on what game to buy. It really annoyed me about there being no delvecchio,Coly and Couto. But i will wait for Pro Evo and see which one is the best.

I would give Fifa at the moment 7.5/10

One thingd I hate with the WE 8 game is that the players (mostly mine) pass so damn slow that my opponents get to the ball before I do. And even worse, when my players reviece the ball they put it about 3m infrotn and then lose it. it alse takes too much time until my players get the ball and then turn around. You can never do a fast passing which is a shame. Also, if you play 5 star level it's really boring cause your opponent is dominant in EVERYTHING. This thing that happens to me, isn't cause I have parma, cause I also chose other teams but still.

Anyway, I really hate it that the passing is so slow, and the way they recieve a ball, not even an amateur does it so slow. Oh and the Gks in general are so damn stupid. They can let in some idiotic goals and such...

Parma On Football Manager 2006

I have just played the demo of Football Manager 2006 and diddnt think there was any point in opening a new thread so i will do it on here

Posotive:
All players play for Parma every transfer up to date as far as i could see.
Fairly realistic transfer prices.
Kits are fine

Negative.
The game its self is a patch of football Manager 2005 there is more or less no difference what so ever in the actual game.
Dessenna and Cignari are in the under 20s side and are rubbish.
Parma are given 625k transfer budget which is not enough to buy anyone good as they are all either on loan somehwere or are completly rubbish.

The actual game is terribble sure FM 2005 was good and now we want some good updates and something to keep us going for another year but this wont do it. SI games claim to have LOADS of new features but they are very lacklusture. The new media is ok they report things after each match but its nothing special. The training schedule is improved but lets be hounest its only a training schedule nothing exiting. The game just felt like i was starting up a new game on FM 05 with a few different button shapes and a darker colour scheme. Parma were fairly realistic on it though which was the only good point. But it still seems to think we should be aiming for a top half finish which is rather high. The game felt really boring and for weeks before it came out i saw the improved features and thought i cant see this being any good and as far as i saw i am right. Perhaps rent the game on XBOX 360 when it comes out or download the full demo but in my opinion i dont think i will buy the game even though it was number 1 on my list this year. I havent yet seen the teamtalks and things like that i am only giving first impressions which were very poor perhaps when i take a real close look at the game it might suprise me but ATM i am not very pleased.
