The fact that we didn't concede is more encouraging that the fact we didn't score is discouraging. I know it was a C2 team but at the moment we have a C2 attack!
I hope Beretta doesn't have any funny ideas about a 3-man defence. Not only due to the fact that a 3-man defence has not worked for Parma since the days of Thuram and Cannavaro, but also because it would make few of our players (Rosina and Marchionni) tottaly useless.
I wouldn't mind a proper 4-3-3 though. Lupatelli as the goalkeeper, Bonera on the right, two out of Contini, Cannavaro and Cardone center backs, Pasquale on the left. Simplicio with two out of Bresciano, Savi, Dessena and Grella in midfield and up front our new striker in the center with Marchionni/Pisanu playing off him on the right and Morfeo (or Rosina) on the left.
And then we could always making this team more or less offencive by putting attacking (Camara, Pasquale) or defencive full-backs (Bonera, Contini) or putting pure defencive midfielders (Bolano) or the more play-making type (Savi, Grella). Could work, especially since our strength lies in attacking midfield.
