Liverpool are back in Barclays Premier League action with an Anfield encounter against Fulham on Sunday.

The Reds will be hoping to bolster their top four push, though they'll come up against a Cottagers side who are enjoying a fine season under the stewardship of Roy Hodgson.

Earlier this campaign, Fulham recorded a 3-1 home victory over Rafa Benitez's troops in a tense contest that saw Philipp Degen and Jamie Carragher sent off.

However, the Whites have won just once away from home in the league this campaign and are yet to record a victory at Anfield in 28 league visits.

You actually didn't play badly. Fulham only came for the 0-0 but with no Torres, you're never gonna score. So clear. Even a Crouch or Pavlyuchenko would have been handy for you guys.

Not a bad performance by any means.

Positives- nice cameo by Pacheco, Johnson, Aqua and Agger all worthy of MOTM awards, any hope for a 4th spot finish is over, won't have to hand the title to Utd by beating Chelski, season is nearly over .

Negatives
- well, no CL footy next season, lack of attacking patterns which raises questions about Rafa's attacking coaching abilities and finally Europa league football next season :(.

Next season can't be as bad as this, can it?

We played well but we're just toothless without Torres, we really need to invest in a good back up for Torres next season, lets face it Torres is never going to complete a full season and he's got the world cup this summer so wouldn't be surprised if he's burnt out again at the start of next season.

Aquilani was impressive again, hope he gets a run in the team now, same with Pacheco, it can't hurt can it?

If Rafa is still here, which he most probably will be, can you really see it getting any better?

any gossip on Torres btw?

to see a specialist tomorrow but any doom mongers fearing that he''ll be out for the season?

Just hope he isn't rested for the game against West Ham. I'll go nuts if it is so (fantasy football lol)

Rafa finished 5th with Valencia and then won the title the next season.

Not saying that's gonna happen to us, but i'm willing to give Rafa one more season, especially if the yanks are still here, to show us that this season is a one off.

I'm not for adding some on the pitch instability to our off the pitch problems.

Shit game, we were toothless. Aqua player really well, but we just lacked any sort of penetration without Torres. I agree with Wally, we really could use Pavlyuchenko or Crouch back. 4th place is gone for sure, 5th looks distant now, and if we aren't careful, we could slip to 7th and miss out on Europe altogether if we don't win the Europa League (because Pompey will qualify through the FA Cup)... :depressed:
