Two great clubs will meet in Athens for the Champions League Final on May 23rd 2007. It has been 2 years since Liverpool were last in a European Cup final and the same for Milan where Liverpool were victorious in the wonderful Final in Istanbul. Two great clubs with great histories, Liverpool are gunning for their 6th European title, previous ones won in Rome 77, Munich 78, Paris 81, and Rome again in 84. Brussels 85 was a loss to Platini's non existant penalty call and the death of 39 Italian fans (RIP). Milan have won 6 European Cups/Champions Leagues and attempt their 7th.

A great match and a cracking atmosphere is on the books.

two great clubs of european pedigree, I'm very happy with this final, loads of subplots ,Milan will want to get revenge but Liverpool will want to equal AC milans european cup record .

I expect a good game,Liverpool always let in goals in finals .

Looks amazing, like the Attaturk but nicer, but not as mystifying.

Istanbul and now Athens. Does anyone else think there's a sort of nice romanticism about us getting to finals in these cities? I think there's something special about them being in south-eastern europe and not some big metropolis in western europe.

yeah, we've won in some outstanding eternal grounds of europe: rome's olympic stadium, paris's parc de prince, london's wembley and then istanbul's ataturk and hopefully next athen's olympic stadium. :hopefull:

in the milan forum, they are already celebrating..............some people will never learn.it suits us just fine, though.for once more WE are the underdogs!

We are the underdogs. Every time we play a Premier League or even Scottish team we are the dark horses. You just take a look at both clubs, we are not on the same level. You will probably go out and win the final again, just like against Chelsea you will somehow manage to overcome an opponent with much more quality. You will just make it a contest of quality vs. quantity and secure another CL victory. I don't know how Rafa does it, I mean honestly, objectively speaking, just took at your team. Then look at ours. I don't know why the other Rossoneri are celebrating, having much more talent means nothing vs you lot.
