Ranieri did this stupid stuff with Roma too. He had Marseille right where he wanted. It was 0-0 with 30 sec left. Inter defence was owned on the final play..very very unlucky. Had it ended 0-0 next would be Inter's for sure. I still think Inter will go through. He will use Milito next game. I think Forlan played well...I said this but then Ranieri made a mess in the 2nd half
Marseille there for the taking and he then goes and subs out A forward for a midfielder who can barely control the ball. Yes Zarate was the one to come off, but it should have been Milito entering the field and I am sure Inter would have scored.
Instead his defensive mindset cost Inter this game and possibly the tie if Inter can't overturn this.

Another problem is Ranieri is notorious for not playing youngsters. The man is terrified to put youngsters in important matches. Ranieri is what I hate about Italian managers. Poli should be starting along with Alverez.

roud: We've had it far too good these past 7 years.Remains to be seen what Moratti does at the end of this season, where he has no more excuses or (false) hopes about the quality of the team. He must spend some money on at least 2 quality players and another 2 decent players.

Judging from Moratti in the last two years, I think I will go with "these are champions and they have enough quality."
Remains to be seen what Moratti does at the end of this season, where he has no more excuses or (false) hopes about the quality of the team. He must spend some money on at least 2 quality players and another 2 decent players.
I wouldn't be too suprised with Džemaili/Aronica type of signing.
