Verona has released a statement confirming that they've sold their half of Camoranesi to Juve. Juve thus have to arrange terms (salaries) with Camo which ought to be less difficult and toilsome than the Verona negotiations:).

Futhermore Max Vieri returns to Juve (only to be sent away immediately I guess), and the co-ownership of Australian keeper Jess Van Strattan has been re-newed for another season (jubii... it would be so awfull letting go of this player....).

The notice does not include Cassani's one year loan, but looking at other sources I think we should treat this as official as well.

Lega Calcio's site yesterday ran news of us having re-purchased Gasbarroni, Lavecchia and Guzman as well. Still to get news on their future destinations.

Ciao.

Just one correction- Maresca has still not been re-claimed. The rumours and market moves so far indicate that he will re-join us, but it isn't certain yet.

In any case I agree with Tarmpropp to the extend that I won't be fully satisfied unless there's also a cover for Nedved.

Knowing that it's unlikely to be a high profile player unless we lose Maresca in the process- I'm leaning towards giving Sensi another whip of the old cane by taking D'Agostino to be the cover guy. He has the talent to do real well, although he of course has some way to go in terms of confirming his obvious potential.

He- unlike many others could be left on the bench as he hasn't really got any claim to fame. What is more- Roma and Bari have negotiated on him, and has failed to reach an agreement with the player having issued what amounts to a "come and get me" plea to Juve.

There would be no little satisfaction in seing Lucio arrive at Roma for €15 million while we got Legrottaglie, D'Agostino and Méxés (all profiled and admitted Roma targets- still dreaming of Méxés, yes :)) for about the same amount of money or a little more + half share and loan arrangements on Sculli, Paro and Gastaldello which only strenghtens us (+ of course whoever from the Primavera side or elsewhere Bari might like) :D.

Add to this that I believe Samuel will ultimately replace Hierro at Real and Roma are back to square one :dielaugh:  .

Ciao.

Put your faith in Maresca.
Errm.. I don't really.

To me, Maresca is more of a Davids then a Neddy. He isn't attacking enough IMO. I want Maresca, plus someone like Riquelme or Aimar (yeah right:eek: ). We have defensive strength but we lack firepower, another good attacking mid could sometimes play with Neddy when we need it.

Imagine the CL final with Riquelme instead of Camo. It would have been different. I'm not so sure if we had Maresca. Riquelme has something to prove, and I think he should do it with us. Barca doesn't seem to eager to keep anyways.

I've never seen D'Agostino play, but I'm sceptical. IMO he has major failure potential, and he would probably incredibly expensive knowing how Sensi feels about us. I think we can do better.

And I also still dream of Mexes, that deal would just be incredibly sweet.

NOW it's official. Maresca has been taken back by Juve. The price was €3 million YES!! :) (it doesn't mean he cannot be utilized in other ways of course.

Brighi remains with Parma (but it likely to go on loan)... but this is a tricky one, and I need more confirmation on it. It seems the HALF SHARE has been RENEWED (Lega Calcio) and that neither side has any options or clauses... First hand interpretation means that Brighi paid €10 million for his half and that Moggi simply lied about it being a loan, because at the time Brighi was rated so highly it would have seemed bad risking him leaving. NOW however- there ain't no way in hell Brighi would command that kind of fee, and if there's no clause binding us to Brighi- then we either get him back next year for substantially less than 10 million- thus making a profit on the half share, or we sell him for X millions getting 10 + X millions for him in total. As I said I need more confirmation on this- but that's what it looks like, and it sort of sweetens the Di Vaio deal if it's true :).

Gaetano D'Agostino's case will be decided by auction (closed bid, highest bidder takes all), as bari and Roma didn't reach an agreement.

Funny thing about that auction is that Roma is put on the spot. They can't have any idea as to whether Bari has support from a major team behind them or if Bari has just been holding on to force exactly this situation for exactly this reason.

If Roma wants to make sure of getting D'Agostino they'll have to bid high. If they don't- they risk losing a bright prospect cheaply. If they gamble with a medium offer- it's a 50/50.

Glad we avoided that with Maresca :eekani: .

Ciao.

Yeah- but that rumour has been there because of Pizarro, and Liverani is the same type of player as Maresca.

I don't think that's going to happen. Not that I'm saying Moggi isn't going to send Maresca away, but I hope he'll get to participate in pre-season training like Brighi did so Lippi can get a chance to evaluate on Enzo again.

There should be no shortage of suitors for a loan deal in August either.

Ciao.

I just hope we use Maresca as an "excuse" for not getting a real Neddy backup. We need that, and if Moggi fails to get one our entire mercato has been a failure IMO.

since pizarro and jorgenson joined lazio in a swap deal for castroman and liverani plus cash, i think the rumour of Maresca leaving for udinese wont happen.

As far as i am concerned, Maresca was only really rumoured to udinese. i mean this Tomasson deal is plain bullcrap! and Milan wont ask for maresca when they have the midfielders already, plus they have Appiah as well i think.

Maresca isnt a direct replacment for nedved, however, if nedved is missing, we can change our formation around and maresca being that player attack from midfield. nonetheless, Maresca doesnt have half the creativeness or skill of an aimar. so as tarmpropp mentioned, it would be a failure if Moggi didnt get a creative midfielder this summer.

Since Aimar has gone on the market and for a price tag of 25 million euros, which to me is cheap for the worlds best young playmaker, Moggi will have to offer something to valencia. i mean, we have players to offer them as well, we would be stupid not to offer something for him. And realistically thinking, juve is the only club who is after a creative midfielder and who could afford that price.

Brighi? i dont know abotu him anymore. Moggi made the biggest mistake putting him in that deal for Di Vaio. it totally destroyed his confidence and may have ruined a player who was good enough to be in the world cup squad. hopefully he plays more often this season.

I heard that Guzman will go on loan to Perugia, is this correct? i wouldnt mind that, just as long as he gets a go like Miccoli did. i wouldnt mind having all our loaned players at the same club, like guzman, gasbaronni etc...

What about Moretti? is he coming back?

Gasbarroni has been send to Palermo...:fero:
Why would Juve do this!!! I mean, I would prefer to keep him in Sampdoria, what this kid needs is some Serie A experience and then he will be great...
I think this is a bad move for Juve, I hope I get wrong :depress: :depress:

Palermo?? thats just silly. he played so well with Samp and shouldnt come up and played for them again this season.

i dont mind that we loan our players to lower clubs. however, i dont like loaning them always to serie B teams.

in my opinion, i feel that if the player 19-23 years of age, they should be playing Serie A and learning the trade form then.

i understand that if a player is 17 or 18, Serie B is the right choice to loan them to. but seriously, players like Guzman, Gasbarroni etc...should be in serie A.
