No way, Lyon and Bordeaux are much stronger imo. Makoun is class though and I really like Keita. I dont think they've a big enough though, plus can Odimwnge (sp) be consistant?

 

Bodmer is a class act, not really getting the Vieira comparison, though.

Bodmer's goal on first day was fantastic. I'm interested to see him in this adavnced role.

Lille is a great team in France, since C Puel coached it , they become a powerful team and last year qualification in Champions League was not coincidence.

Good players, yound and technical skills, and a good system developed by Puel made that Lille was the only team to defeat O Lyon twice. This year, they participate to Champions League again, and they will try to qualify for the 2nd round

In Ligue 1, Lille will try to finish in the 3 ones and they will make it probably

 

Just saw the Odemwngie's perfect hattrick, left, right and head. Also fantastic from Keita. That guy is going to be the star of this season I think. His cross for Odemwingie's 3rd was a right peach.

 

A great midfield. I don't like much Odemwingie, a bit too selfish and not consistent enough for now. On overall they have a starting line-up surely competitive enough to perform greatly in Ligue 1. But their bench is maybe too light, imo. Btw i think their owner is the brother of Lyon's.:rollani: (Seydoux)

 

I dont undestand why they sold Acimovic. He was great in midfield and good tandem with Bodmer, but hes gone now.

 

Besides Lyon, no club has done such good deals in France as Lille these past 5 years, I believe we can contend for the title now that Diarra has left Lyon (given of course that Makoun doesnt fill the gap).

Anyway, Lille made hard work of qualification and whoever they draw will be strong favourite to go through.

Who would be the most favourable draw on paper? Of the group winners, Liverpool spring to mind as the least formidable.

Like I said, they'll be underdogs no matter who they draw, but at least they won't have expectations and the pressure that goes with it to advance.
