Dinamo - Olympiakos 1:1

Dinamo: Butina - Etto (od 60. Vrsaljko), Bišćan (od 60. Barbarić), Mesarić (od 70. Šimić), Ibanez - Calello (od 70. Tomić), Chago (od 66. Ademi), Sammir (od 77. Antolić), Morales (od 67. Badelj) - Dodo, Slepička (od 60. Sivonjić)

15min 1-0 Sammir from 11m, apparently the forwards missed 4 or 5 good chances.

Bišćan back

Badelj coming in off the bench.

Does Zajec have different plans for the kid or should this be taken with a pinch of salt?

Other than Grcic (Hajduk), Dinamo have signed 11 of the most talented young players born between '92 and '96 (all basically youth NT players):

Marcijus (Varteks) - 95.
Maric (Varteks) - 96.
Antolic (Varteks) - 92.
Dankic (Rijeka) - 95.
Lisica (Zadar) - 93.
Ljubicic (Hrvatski Dragovoljac) - 92.
Alvir (Zagreb) - 94.
Marin (Zagreb) - 94.
Brlecic (Zagreb) - 92.
Cakarun brothers (Zagreb) - 94.

Jozak claims that Dinamo are only following the trend in football which has become more and more of a business and that they don't beg anyone to come but only send offers. It's up to the players and their parents to accept or not.

Senzen and Jelicic are off to open the camp in San Francisco, followed by the one in Cleveland, then Las Vegas.

In about a month or two they will hold their main camp in Zagreb where all those selected through the previous camps (BiH, USA, Canada, Croatia, and most likely Europe) will yet again be evaluated.

Lynx, is there are news on how those other brothers (The Leko's) are developing? They seemed to have a lot of potential and it was rumoured that Villla were interested a while back but i've heard nothing about them for a while now. Are they still at Dinamo?

#10 · (Edited)
They were courted by Villa and actually offered deals. But Mamic did everything to keep them at Dinamo. They are still among the more talented Dinamo youth players, but there are so many to choose from. It's difficult to predict which ones will make the step up, but from what I gathered they are still on pace.

Filip Leko actually scored in that recent tournament (where they beat Lazio in the final).

He also represented the Croatian U16 NT in a recent tournament.

This was their last game and are heading back to Zagreb tomorrow.

Dinamo's American camp(s) are under way. First stop San Francisco.

Jozak was also a speaker at a few more lectures/clinics for coaches. He recently lectured in one alongside coaches from Ajax and Fiorentina.

So those saying he just chose USA to get a vacation clearly don't know what they are talking about (but that was always the case).

When he cuts that out he will be very solid. The thing about Badelj that most impresses is his ability to cut out a pass and win the ball close to the opposition goal which normally leads to a quick counter and a dangerous situation for Dinamo (and the U21's)

True, and it's funny how that's his exact problem at the other end. Maybe that's how he knows how to do it so well. :howler:

He's just so passive looking. Whether he has the ball or whether he's defending he just looks like he's walking through it. I think that catches the opposition off-guard at times. He looks as though he's not going to challenge and then he jumps in there and wins the ball cleanly. He has good instincts and reads the play well.

He's by no means the finished article, but he has great talent.

to me he slows down the play too often, I won't really look into the Dinamo game as that was the first match of the season but he made some bonehead decisions in the U21 match against Slovakia. One I remember off the bat was Croatia was on a quick counter with numbers and he decides to turn around, keep possession and eventually lose the ball

Were we winning at the time?

And the next match in qual will be without Biscan, certainly the most important point after the move of Mandza!

And in this story, Mamic want a move of Badelj... i'm happy to see the future face of Dinamo after this change!
Now, they're simply nowhere... Buy many young players of america but they stinck!

How it's possible to make some good result at this level with this kind of performances and players?! I don't understand...

People do realize that Dinamo are missing Cufre, Tomecak, Kramaric, Vrsaljko, Ademi, and that Simic is admittedly only at 70%, right? And that Badelj didn't play last night.

Plus we will be adding one or two more players before the market closes.

I mean, people DO know that right?

TURNEJA PO SAD-U

Modri pronašli dva čuda od djeteta: Meksikanca Navu i Hrvata Medančića

U San Franciscu smo u kampu imali 110 dječaka, u Clevelandu 70, a u Las Vegasu također 110.

- U San Franciscu smo u kampu imali 110 dječaka, u Clevelandu 70, a u Las Vegasu također 110.
