Limiting the penalty zone?
It's ridiculous that when you get fouled 2cm from the backline you get a penalty. Only in front of the goal mound a penalty should be declared.
Discuss.

A limit of fouls. Any player who committed 5 individual fouls would have to leave the pitch for a period of 5 minutes, and any team that committed 25 collective fouls should be penalized with a freekick (no wall allowed) from the semicircle in front of their box.

Banning subsititutions in the last five minutes of the game.
Giving free kicks for ungentlemanly conduct when teams take the ball to the corner and stand on it to waste time.

Divers need no incentive, Anomander; a "wiseguy" player who thinks he can deceive the ref will always try to do so. The only rule that might theorethically limit the divers' effectiveness would be to give sports courts the right to cancel game results whenever the TV cameras caught a player deceiving the ref... but such a dramatic new rule would never be accepted. Because cancelling a game's result because the TV images suggested that one player dived in an important moment may sound good if our team lost the game in question; but imagine for a moment how you would feel if your team's victory were 'cancelled', days after the match itself, because a judge decided that one of your team's players dived. People would go BERSERK! So I don't see any reasonable way to stop diving without generating even bigger complaints; the current rules just have to be properly enforced.Anomander Rake said:

if u arent gonna get rid of shootouts, bring the old MLS method into it- as in start from outside of the goal with a timelimit to score in
