In wishing you all Happy New Year, I thought time was right to open the thread devoted to Milan related transfer market talk 2008 :)

Latest:

Skipping anything related to the possible signing of Ronaldinho that some opinion makers believe will happen, said that the vast majority of papers believe Zambrotta is a done deal for July, todays papers suggest Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) could become rossonero next summer since his relationship with the Spanish club is supposedly deteriorating.
Amauri (Palermo) could be signed by either us or Juve, Frey (Fiorentina) and/or Viviano (Brescia) next season could become our new GK's, Marco Rossi (Parma) is also linked with Milan as an alternative backup to Oddo and Jankulowski.
19 year old central defender Aislan (Flamengo) is also supposedly followed by our club, in particular by Leonardo.

Maybe Josh you should go fight with his agent and your local paper.

There's 0 news about this in the Italian media, it's been the 3rd or 4th time in the past few months that Marca and his agent mentions it.. And if you really rate your kid too high, then pay him what he deserves which is easily triple his current very low 1.5m/season.

It's all Marca Vs Calderon and Ramos's agent using Calderon's not so good relations with Milan to get his client a very well deserved pay-rise.

Happy new year!

Maybe Real Madrid and their fans shouldnt go around insinuating that all players want to join Real all the time and then as soon as a small rumor is linking their players with some other club make childish comments. Wankers. Always had higher thoughts about Real but after reading these forums for a couple of years and the addition of the clown Calderon my mind has been changed...

Not really, for now it's just pure speculation.

Milan Must Pay More Than £25m For Benzema – Lyon

AC Milan have been told by Lyon that they will have to cough up more than ÂŁ25m if they want to sign explosive young striker Karim Benzema.

The 20-year-old hitman is one of the most wanted youngsters in the whole of Europe with a host of top European teams cueing up for his signature.

Milan are towards the front of this cue and according to the Gazzetta dello Sport have already begun transfer negotiations with his club Lyon.

However the French champions have told Rossoneri chiefs Ariedo Braida and Adriano Galliani that the ÂŁ25m they are prepared to offer will not be enough to sign Benzema.

Milan are in desperate need of some forward reinforcements as Ronaldo has played just once this season due to injury, Filippo Inzaghi has not scored in Serie A for almost a year, while Alberto Gilardino has shown little sign that he is capable at starring at the very highest level.

One good sign for the European and World Champions is that teenage wonderkid Alexandre Pato will be eligible to make his debut for the club when Serie A resumes after the winter break on January 13.

Milan need to recover domestically and show a strong come back .
I think any new signs for Milan in Jan should a build for the future and to bring who can add a positive impact on the team , not like Ronaldo , Gila , Pato .. etc !

Ramos is a class defender who can play in 2 positions , still a young and strong physically .. of course he would be a big buy for milan .

nice to see milan think more in young players .. ;)

if milan don`t want him .. just send him to liverpool . :lala: :howler:

Ramos would be a dream, although RB should not at all be a priority. He is a good CB too, but it would be kind of a waste, as he excells as a fullback and has said he prefers playing there. He wouldn't move from Real to play in a role that isn't his favourite, nor we would break the bank for a position we have covered.

Always on the date Diavolo, happy new year man ;) Best wishes!!

I see with the transfer window opening again, rumors will keep on growing, but to hear about Ramos, again, its weird.. I mean the rumor isn't even practical!

I hope this year we'll get some changes on our transfer strategy, perhaps we'll need to spend more, and maybe its time for young blood, young blood only!!!

Last year, we missed on 2 players who would perfectly fit our system more than any other team: Fernando Torres, and Frank Ribery!! Perhaps bringing Torres was really tough, but Ribery is definitely a bad move from us to let him go elsewhere!! We did capture Pato though, and by next year we'll definitly know whats he all about!!

I just hope on the 1/1/2009 I will not have these same thoughts about our transfers, I really see that perhaps the best players that we might have a shot at are: Benzema, Berbatov, and Frey. I would also wish for Mexes and Gago, if Roma or Real were up to negotiate these 2!!

I mean it will be depressing if we also missed on many important players, that would absolutely be of more benefit to us that other clubs!! I am optimistic!!

Happy new year every body!!
Happy new year Galliani ;) Braida;) Leonardo;) and Berlusconi;) just buy some players for heaven's sake..

FORZA MILAN!!

Lassana Diarra is dying to leave Arsenal and this kid is supposed to be the new Makelele. Would love to see him paired up with Pirlo if he were to leave.

Another player I'd buy is a proper CB to partner Nesta. Josep Simunic of Croatia/Hertha Berlin would make a great addition to Milan. He's an experienced international and one hell of a defender.

Last thing Milan new is another DM, though a young hungry player like that is needed.

That was on Today's La Gazzetta dello sport.

Regarding Ramos,im very satisfied with Oddo, who did great contribution to CL in 2007,Supercup,though he lost his magic shape in the last weeks,Oddo was a speacilist on crosses and Long ball when he was at Lazio but at Milan is very different as we crosses the ball after 70-80 metres run,in the box there is only Gilardino, who is very limited player,Ramos might be a very good player but we know that Spanishards always failed at Serie A,as well as he costs a fortune,i would rather to have ivanovic, who also has tecnique and pace to play at RB.

in addition Benzema would be great move but as they say 40 m euros wont be enough to lure him from Lyon, but in the 10 years Milan wouldnt have any problem in forward line with Pato and Benzema as La Gazzetta said today's edition.but i think Milan needs 1+1 striker,Benzema plus a striker like Jo,Wagner Love...

We dont need Ramos at all,off course Milan doesnt need him as inter needs Messi or Real needs Kaka Leite, off course writing post as saying he cant cross sitting infront of computer is very easy,Zambrotta is coming to Milan next summer which could add something magic on the side backs,The side backs are well covered by Zambrotta,Oddo,Marek, maybe ivanovic could be used as RB too.

-Frey or Gomez
-Zambrotta
-ivanovic
- a vice Oddo maybe Sagnol of Bayern.
-one of the Moutinho/Lucho/Kalstroem
-Marko Marin
-Karim Benzema
-Jo/Wagner Love/someone who is talented and capable of scoring goals to getting extra points.

Nooooooooooooo way. Simunic is definitely not a player we should buy. Not good enough and not needed.
