Whats your opinion on these two players??

Who do you thinks better? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Im just intrested to see what the general opinion is of these two around Europe.

Thank You :cap:

Cisse should turn out to be a very good player if he is given time. Haven't seen a lot of Baros except for at the Euro's, could turn out to be the latest in a long line of one tournament wonders.

They dont mix together.
Morientes should sit one of them when he comes to Anfield.

Cisse's a decent player.

I like Milan Baros and I think he'd much better if he wasn't plying his trade in English football. Somehow I get the impression that his game is based more on technique than speed and he would suit the likes of La Liga to a T.

Baros can be good at times but is very blinkered because he never lifts his head up.

Cissé is all speed and a hard shot, his first touch and technique is appalling though, also he looks to be a bit of a weakling, he should have stayed in France.

Put it this way. Anything Cisse can do, Baros can do a thousand times better and more.

Cisse is an average player imo.
You haven't seen much from him over there in Melbourne, have you ? :)

This doesn't happen too often but I like them both. Cissé is incredibly fast and strong and has a devistating shot. Baros has more overall skill and is really good as well. Liverpool must cherish them.

Ive seen him alot.

My hate of Liverpool may well add to my bias.

They are both excellent players, but they don't mix. Both of them need to be playing off a target man. If Morientes arrives, then IMO Baros will leave. Mori and Cisse will be the pairing, and a potentially awesome one at that.
Baros will leave? Owen is already at Real.

2 strikers in a squad for a 442 formation...

Morientes really isnt a target man though... and I dont think he is coming in January - Real have said he is not for Sale, and Morientes said his first choice was Monaco.

Also, I don't think Djibril works very well in strike partnerships generally - I think he is more suited to having a midfielder play off him.. When has Cisse ever had a strike partner that he's played well with regularly? At Auxerre he was more of a lone frontman, He can't seem to get it going at Liverpool with Milan, and for France he can't get it going with anyone.

If we were to buy another striker, I would definately pair them with Baros over Cisse. Milan has looked a lot better this season for LFC, and deserves the chance to carry on. Maybe if we are to play with one up top with Garcia supporting, Cisse is a better option.. but Rafa has moved away from this idea recently, and has started playing 2 up front, and I reckon weve played a lot better football with 2 up front. I've got a feeling Rafa is going to stick with this set up for a while.

The one thing that is evident though, is that Baros is excelling in a 4-4-2, whilst Djibril is struggling... so I don't understand how you think Milan should leave and Cisse should stay to play in a front two

Espcially when, going by his/her logic there would only be 2 strikers in the squad. :googly:

Well... We'd have 4 with Pongolle and Mellor - but it still leaves us a little thin on the ground... Especially with FSP saying he will leave if he doesnt get games, and Mellor only seeming to be able to do it for the ressies. If we sign a striker in January, we deffo don't need to sell one.

You serious? I wouldnt be relying on Mellor or Pongolle if i was Norwich, Southampton or Palace. Espcially if i was as 'doc rule' says "one of the biggest clubs int he EPL".

If take Baros and Owen instead.

He played with Bonaventura Kalou at Auxerre.

Bonaventura Kalou is a magnificient player, served Cissé and didn't stand in his way but Kalou is a striker.

FSP never said anything of the sort, tabloid nonsense.

Well actually that is what SS said yesterday about FSP. It said he wanted to leave as he wasn't getting a game, but the manager said to him he ain't going to sell him. So he said I will just have to keep working hard and maybe get a shot in the 1st team, if not then he will decide what he wants to do in the summer.

Mori made those comments months ago and they've been rehashed. His agents and himself have made it very clear that we are his first choice. Never mind what Real say, compulsive liars the lot of them. If they get an offer Mori will be off.

At Auxerre he played with Kalou who is a striker. Cisse is basically a bigger, stronger and quicker version of Owen. He's not a target man, he needs some1 to play off. Mori is the man.

We will play 2 up, Cisse and Mori. Baros is too much of an individual to play in a pair. Because of his refusal to look up and pass the ball, the partnership has failed.

Baros is what?? have you watched us play?? Baros has been very dissapointing, whereas Cisse has shown glimpses of his enormous talent, but he's not being played right.

Why play Cisse and sell Baros?? Cisse cost us ÂŁ14million, he's going to play, we could get ÂŁ10m for Baros based on Euro 2004, that's a great price for him.

No, you are wrong again. The News of The World ran a story saying he would ask to leave and gave quotes from a man who was supposed to be his agent, but is in fact the agent of Anthony LeTallec, and the quotes were made in the summer.

Any story since is just the N.O.T.W story re-done.
