Do we need another Defensive Midfileder ?

Essien is versatile and can play right back and center midfield. He is being loaned to us because we are trying to get rid of Lass. He will compete with Khedira for CM and Arbeloa for right back.

Since this is only a loan, it is a great move!

official?

you opened a thread for a rumor?

We've been discussing in the Transfers Rumors thread all day... no need for a thread until it's official.

I breath Madrid, drink Madrid, eat Madrid, sleep dreaming about Real Madrid , so pleaseeeeeee ..Make this the last time to call my threads a rumor/ I get my news not from Marca not AS but directly from Bernabeu

Thanks

we cannot blame our board for kaka and carvalho!we have tried everything to get rid off them, but they wouldn't move!what should the board do?blackmail them?IF,and that is a big if,we sign essien it will only be a loan.even if he proves to be a cripple, january is close at hand, there are options available.
P.S in january we can sign a proper RB too.

we won't get a rb because there are none available that are quality. pizchek (sorry cannot spell his name) would of been a good fit here but dortmund will not sell. from what I've seen, debuchy is not madrid quality. maicon is off to man city. isla went to juve. richards will most likely be used in a 3 man city defense, but would keep an eye on him. who else is there?

is it official now?

YES!
Finally a real DM!

Superb move...just give us LA DECIMA :proud: already, why wait?

I actually think Mourinho will use Essien as an RB more then people think.

Not a bad signing - low risk, possibly high reward.

Experienced and high quality player in his prime. Very good footballing iQ and has worked with Mou before so he should integrate easily. Question is what physical shape is he in and if his body will hold up.

At best he rolls back the years and gives some great performances, and at the worst, we have bought ourselves a decent scouting report on Chelski :D

Experienced and high quality player in his prime.
Essien is as close to 'in his prime' as Raul is. :D

He will turn 30 in a few months, played 10 games last year, played 10 games in 2008/09 and played 13 games in 2009/10. Has had one healthy season in the last 4 years.

I know you will argue this to no end because that's your thing, but it's just the truth.

Do we get to bring Chelsea's hot fitness coach as well? Essien loves her. :D

When he scores against Barca again, he better be doing dances like that!!!!!

P.S. I would burn out that Chelsea coach.

i said it before,it's a low risk move.even if his knees won't last,we can sign m'vila or paulinho or another DM in january.problem is that due to the fact that we are real madrid, every club wants to milk us out when we approach them for a player.i read somewhere that rennais were willing to sell m'vila for 15m euros in the last few days.now imagine if we move for him in january:25m euros non negotiable!wanna bet?
P.S is rennais playing in europe this season?if we move for him in january, will he be cup tied?paulinho plays in brazil,no problems there.

M'Vila sucks, though. Another overhyped DM like Javi Martinez, although Javi can actually pass a football. M'Vila is garbage, never been impressed with him.

#31 ·
josh our opinions on m'vila are the same.having said that,if essien is shit,we may have to sign another DM in january.other options?
P.S is paulinho any good?

i sure hope our incompetent management keeps its ****ing eyes open for the january transfer window:we need a RB and another central midfielder IF essien proves to be shit.
