They don't exist in that form anymore. Nowadays they're merged with Buducnost Banatski Dvor and are called FK Banat, they do play in Zrenjanin though.

In my honest opinion,I believe some of these sides should come together to become a stronger,lets say for example FK Rad and OFK Beograd.First of all,better to have one other quality side from Beograd not 2 average clubs(as we have too many clubs from Beograd with low attendance records).Second of all,the squad would be much stronger and might give C.Z and Partizan a harder time and finally,the attendance would be much higher,which is better for our league.What do you guys think?

I hope we get a team or 2 really improve this year, it's always the big 2 dominating every year, I'd like to see a side really push them this year. Doubt it will happen but the most likely candidates would be OFK and Vojvodina.

Don't agree. Perhaps this method has been successful in North America, but football is all about tradition. OFK is one of the oldest clubs in our league and actually has a nice history. Rad however was formed much later and would always be playing second division football in an ideal world.

And not to mention the biggest problem of all: the fans! Rad's ultras are mostly neo-nazi's, while OFK's ultras are more allround (although there are bad seeds among them as well). Anyway, these groups are not exactly on good terms with eachother and would never accept such a solution. Neither would OFK legends like Petkovic, Santrac etc.

 

Playing of the anthem should only be reserved for international fixtures. To bring back the crowds they need to stop live coverage on Saturdays and instead have a highlights show in the evening.

I was just saying that as an example.I know that wouldn't happen but I'm saying,like FOR EXAMPLE two clubs that are from the same city and/or close to each other becuase we know we got too many clubs from Beograd.Jeez guys,I was just using it as an example:moan: LOL

The separation with Montenegro will strengthen the league, i read that Igor Burzanovic might be going to Vojvodina, isn't he meant to be a real star of the future?

It would be cool if the top six teams are say; Red Star, Partizan, Vojvodina, Banat, OFK Belgrade and Smederevo, they might actually start getting decent crowds :thumbsup:

Kreće Meridijan Superliga Srbije

U petak, 4. avgusta igra se prva utakmica Meridijan Superlige. U prvom fudbalskom šampionatu Srbije u čestvovaće dvanaest klubova koji će igrati po novom sistemu, a posle 32 kola dobićemo prvaka. Svih dvanaest klubova, šest beogradskih i šest iz 'ostatka države' odigraće 22 kola po dvokružnom sistemu, a posle toga će se boljih šest boriti za titulu i plasman u evropske kupove, a slabijih šest za opstanak u ligi.

Prošlogodišnji prvak, ekipa Crvene zvezde, u novu sezonu ulazi sa neznatno izmenjenim sastavom. Otišli su učesnici SP golman Stojković i Dudić i povremeni reprezentativac Luković a značajna pojačanja mogli bi da budu stranci, Bugarin Georgijev, Brazilac Tadei i Senegalac Gej. Opšte je mišljenje da je dolazak Bajevića umesto Zenge pomak na bolje.

Zvezda u prvom kolu dočekuje ekipu Voždovca. Najprijatnije iznenađenje jesenjeg dela prethodnog šampionata nema tim za značajnije rezultate, finansijski problemi uslovili su da 'Zmajevi' u novo prvenstvo uđu da bi se borili za opstanak. "I pored toga što nam se bliži utakmica sa Milanom igrači moraju da ozbiljno i koncentrisani uđu u subotnji meč sa Voždovcem jer u prvesntvo moramo da uđemo sa pobedom i tri boda, " rekao je posle utakmice sa Kork sitijem predsednik Crvene zvezde Dragan Stojković.


Kao i svake sezone najozbiljniji konkurent za osvajanje titule biće Partizan. 'Crno-beli' su u pripremnom periodu bili veoma neuverljivi, ali direktor beogradskog kluba Nenad Bjeković veruje da loši rezultati nisu i znak za uzbunu.

"Igre u pripremnom periodu nisu bile toliko loše koliko su loši bili rezultati. Verujem da će vremenom sve doći na svoje mesto. Dobro se radilo i verujem i u igrače i u stručni štab.”

Partizan je doveo čak desetoricu novih igrača ali se još uvek ne vidi ko će od njih biti pravo pojačanje. Najzvučnija imena su napadači Vukelja, Stojkov, Markoski i Mirosavljević, a prethodni prelazni rok je prvi u kojem Partizan nije ostvario nijedan značajniji transfer, odnosno prodao nekog igrača.

Problem ‘crno-belima’ mogla bi da predstavlja i činjenica da su navijači najavili da će nastaviti sa bojkotom. Prvi protivnik je Bežanija, debitant u najvišem rangu takmičenja.

"Jednom mora da bude prvi put. Treme i straha neće biti, nema razlgoa da se neko nekoga plaši. Ovo je prava šansa za pojedince da pokažu da vrede, za neke da dokažu da im je mesto u Partizanu,” kaže trener Bekvalac koji računa na četvoricu igrača pozajmljenih upravo od Partizana, Veselinovića, Babića, Kneževića i Stančeskog.


Sezonu ‘otvaraju’ Zemun i OFK Beograd. Zemunci su celo leto čekali (i nisu dočekali) nove vlasnike kluba ali su spremni da se takmiče u Meridijan Superligi.

“Spremili smo se kako-tako. Ipak, poručujemo da ćemo od početka igrati na pobede. Ne verujem da su igrači OFK Beograda značajno bolje pripremljeni,” kaže Kristijan Tucaković.
Gosti sa Karaburme tražili su da se igra dan ranije da bi imali više vremena za utakmicu kvalifikacija za Kup UEFA sa Okserom. “Gledamo samo naš kvalitet, ne zanima nas protivnik. Znam da je Zemun proemnio ekipu ali su ostali neki iskusni momci. Naša snaga je vera u sebe,” rekao je kapiten ‘Romantičara’ Branko Baković.

Pod imenom Banat nastupaće klub koji je do prošle sezone bio Budućnost i igrao je u Banatskom Dvoru. Prvu utakmicu igraće u Čačku, a u prvom kolu igraće se još i vojvođanski derbi u Kuli, odnosno utakmica Smederevo – Mladost Apatin. Iz lige ispadaju dve najslabije ekipe, iz Prve lige Srbije ulaze dva prvoplasirana, a tim koji u grupi za opstanak zauzme četvrto mesto igraće baraž sa pobednikom plej ofa Prve lige (učestvuju klubovi koji se nađu na trećem, četvrtom, petom i šestom mestu).

Pobeda Zvezde i preokret Partizana

Fudbaleri Crvene zvezde počeli su prvi šampionat Srbije pobedom nad ekipom Voždovca 2:0.

I fudbaleri Partizana zabeležili su prvu pobedu u novoj sezoni, posle dramatičnog meča u Železniku. „Crno-beli“ su gubili od Bežanije 2:0 i 3:1 (koliko je bilo na poluvremenu), ali su napravili preokret za trijumf 4:3.

Do tri boda u gostima posle preokreta došla je i Mladost iz Apatina, koja je u poslednjim minutima pobedila u Smederevu rezultatom 2:1.

Minimalnu pobedu 1:0 ostvarili su fudbaleri Hajduka iz Kule u duelu sa Vojvodinom. Jedini strelac u finišu prvog poluvremena bio je Miodrag Vasiljević.

Najzaslužniji za pobedu Partizana, koja je kladioničarskim žargonom donela „iz 1 u 2“ i „7 plus“, bio je Nigerijac Obiora Odita, strelac tri pogotka za ekipu Miodraga Ješića, a drugi gol Partizana dao je Predrag Lazić.

Strelci za debitante u najvišem rangu, koji kao domaćini igraju na drugom kraju grada, bili su Srđan Urošević, Dejan Damjanović i Darko Lazetić.

U prvom poluvremenu Bežanija je bila bolji tim, ali je u nastavku igrala totalno smušeno, pa je Partizan mogao da pobedi i ubedljivije.

Na Marakani oba gola za poslednje šampione SCG postigao je Dušan Đokić. On je mrežu svog nekadašnjeg kluba prvi put pogodio u petom,a zatim i u 58. minutu.

Zvezda je polovinu utakmice odigrala sa deset fudbalera, jer je u trećem minutu drugog dela isključen Milan Biševac.

U Smederevu je Nedeljković postigao gol za domaćina, a u poslednjih 15 minuta najpre je Drakulić iz slobodnog udarca izjednačio, a zatim je Radosavljev doneo pobedu Apatincima.

U petak, na otvaranju prvog šampionata Srbije, OFK Beograd je u Zemunu pobedio rezultatom 2:1. Crvena zvezda počinje odbranu titule utakmicom sa Voždovcem od 20 časova.

Poslednja utakmica u prvom kolu igra se u TV terminu, u nedelju od 17.30, kada Borac u Čačku dočekuje tim Banata.
