Welcome to the all-new Manchester United Prediction League 2005/06!

Here are the rules:
1. If you are interested in joining the Manchester United Prediction League 2005/06, simply add your name in this thread and it will be added to the list. No one is allowed to join the prediction league after the season has started. Deadline for entry: 9 August 2005
2. The Prediction League will cover all Premiership, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup matches played by Manchester United.
3. A Prediction League thread will be created a minimum of 3 days before every match included in the Prediction League. Only predictions posted in the Prediction League thread will be accepted. Predictions will also only be accepted if it is posted before the match has started.
4. Scoring System
- 2 points will be deducted if a prediction is not submitted for any game, before the match starts
- 5 points will be awarded for a 100% accurate prediction
- 3 points will be awarded for a prediction with the same goal difference, but not same result (Example: prediction 2-0, actual result 3-1; prediction 2-2, actual result 1-1)
- 1 point will be awarded for a prediction with the same winner but different goal difference and result
- 2 points will be deducted for a wrong prediction
5. Each player will be given a total of 5 bankers and 5 insurances at the start of the season. You are entitled to use them anytime you want throughout the season, in any match.
The banker doubles the number of points gained by the player for the particular match (if he gets a 100% accurate prediction, he would be given 10 points instead of 5). However, if his prediction is wrong, he would be deducted 4 points instead of the usual 2.
The insurance safeguards the prediction so that if he gets the prediction wrong, no points will be deducted.
You are allowed to use the banker and the insurance together in one match.
6. This is how you should submit your predictions. For example, if you predict a 2-0 win for Manchester United:
Win
2-0
Or a 1-0 loss for Manchester United:
Lose
1-0
To use your banker/insurance, simply add a B for banker or I for insurance in a separate line below your prediction:
Win
2-0
B
You are allowed to submit your predictions in any other format you want, however, as Prediction League Master, Zack reserves the right to exclude any unclear prediction. :stuckup:
7. Results will be updated as soon as possible. Current standings will be published in this thread once every month.
