In spite of the bad score I am happy with the attitude our players showed in this first half. It's clear that our squad is inferior but that was really not noticed in these first 45'. Benfica scored from our mistake and inspite of many dangerous crosses coming from the left they haven't really created anything else. We haven't also created any clear goal chances but we've put up a real fight in the midfield with Matias and above all Yannick breaking some chicken kidneys. On the bad side Cristiano was wasting chance after chance and Diogo Salomão should obviously come in on his place asap.

The red card was more than deserved but if the second half will be played at the same rhythm of this first I could bet that it will not be the only one.

 

Unbelievable chance wasted by Sporting now. If this one doesn't get in nothing will. Fantastic Matias.

weak team Filipe, Liedson would have made this team look better, Grimi weak, Maniche fat and old, only ok guy i'd give you is Postiga who was very mobile and Patricio's hands (not his feet)
