Until all the transactions and licence issues are solved, this is how the Liga II looks like:

Seria 1: FCM Bacau, Forex Brasov, FC Brasov, Petrolul Ploiesti, CS Otopeni, FC Botosani, Dacia Unirea Braila, FC Sacele, Cetate Suceava, Poiana Campina, Gloria Buzau, Dunarea Galati, Altay Constanta, Delta Tulcea, Chimia Brazi, FC Snagov, Politehnica II Iasi, Tractorul Brasov

Seria 2: Pandurii Targu Jiu, FC Bihor, Universitatea Cluj, Gaz Metan Medias, Dunarea Giurgiu, Dacia Mioveni, CSM Ramnicu Valcea, FCM Resita, Corvinul Hunedoara, FC Caracal, CFR Timisoara, Gloria II Bistrita, Industria Sarmei Campia Turzii, Minerul Lupeni, Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea, FC Baia Mare, Building Vanju Mare, Auxerre Lugoj

FCM Bacau will start with -8 points.

Teams in blue: their presence in Liga II is not yet sure. Pandurii Targu Jiu and FCM Bacau could return to Liga I if at least 2 teams don't get the licence. At the moment Sportul, National, Jiul and Liberty don't have a licence yet. The other teams in blue plan to sell their place in Liga II. Potential buyers: UTA, Unirea Alba Iulia, Unirea Dej, Juventus Bucuresti, Olimpia Satu Mare, Ariesul Turda.

why will they start with minus 8 points?
They didn't meet the 22 point quota in Divizia A this year. They only had 14 points, meaning an 8 point deduction.

This deduction will cripple their chances of promoting next year. If they happen to be a middle of the pack team next year, then an 8 point deduction could knock them down to the 3rd league. The quota is moved up to 25 points this upcoming season, but that's because there will be more games 34 instead of 30.

I can't wait for the 1st FC Brasov-Forex game. :boxing:

Looks interesting with a third Brasov team possibly in there too.

And I still think the points deduction rule is a crap rule! :yuck:

There's a lot of debate about this but I think this is a good rule. I know some people say that penalyzing a team just because they suck is harsh. But the league is trying to fight agaist match fixing, and this is the best way to combat it.

There are some that propose using fines instead of deducting points for not meeting the quota. But that won't work, because other teams could offer to pay those fines to a team like Bacau if they throw the game away.

It may seem harsh, but this quota reduces match fixing for team that has already relageted and it gives those teams an incentive to play hard the last games of the season.

I saw the first half of Liga 1 schedule in that thread, I was just wondering if anything has been mentioned about Liga 2 games?

Or are the teams still getting the licensing sorted out?

This is nothing. My favourite team name is Happy End Camenca. A few years ago they had an meteoric appearence in the Moldavian first division. Just imagine thousands of fanatic supporters, with bloodshot eyes, screaming their lungs out: "Happy End! Happy End! Happy End!" :howler:

Anyway, back to the topic. The draw for Liga II will take place next Tuesday (July 25th) at 10:00 Romanian time. The draw for Liga III will take place the same day at 13:00.

I think they are pretty much doomed:

Ziarul Obiectiv Tulcea

Ziarul Acum Tulcea

So did Tractorul Brasov become a sattelite team of Poli (but still based in Brasov) or did the team move outright to Timisoara as well?

Just curious........
