Most important game of the season. Everything is at stake. A win or a draw would kill any hopes left for the madridistas while a defeat would mean it's gonna go down the wire.

You will lose.

Hala Madrid.

In my opinion, I don't think they will. I think, with Barcelona's position in the standings, they'll be able to play with more calm than Real who I imagine to be more desperate. Often I see desperate footballing sides with a higher goal to be reached than their opponent, they're feverish, there's not much control to their game play. I can imagine the 90 will play out as such.

A draw would be a brilliant result considering the circumstances. The players quickly need to forget the Chelsea game now. It's do or die. They can rest later. The team needs to show winning mentality and character. No more excuses.

But have you read Joshuas in depth analysis of the game. Theres no way we can win this.

He even has an avatar of Abbodanzieri blurred to back this up.

On paper this is an easy game for Barca since real madrid need to attack but there are no rules in el classico. I expect a dirty madrid that will attempt to disrupt the game and accumulate yellow cards.

All the pressure is on madrid since they HAVE to win otherwise their miserable season is over.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: We "only" need two additional draws and everything is gravy.

The players can do it! I believe until the end. This is not like the last seasons when we were just not good enough. Remember the games against away at Espanyol and Santander for some examples. That would never had happened last season and if it didn't we would't have the lead.

What a question..the pressure is on Madrid, that's a fact.
MADRID is BEHIND Barca, MADRID is 4 POINTS behind, MADRID *cannot* lose this match, MADRID *cannot* draw, MADRID *must* win this match.

They must close the gap to 1 point, everything else would be not enough.

You could actually be shouting this in Madrid fans ears. but they have this tendency to be illogical.

It's do or die for Madrid too. Let's not forget that they've yet to play at Mestalla or El Madrigal. Although it should be said that I don't trust these teams to take points from Madrid considering how this season have looked. Still, sooner or later they have to falter. No way this team will win all remaining matches. That would be the nail in the coffin for La Liga.

Even if we lose, we'll still win the league. They are crap, no team on earth can win so often whilst being so crap without it eventually catching up on them. If that Madrid team were to win this game 3-0 there would be definitive proof that there is no God. After this match, we have Villareal at home and Mallorca away. They have both Villareal and Valencia away. Surely their awfulness is going to show. FINALLY some ****ing justice in this "league".

Pep should rest the players completely, no point at all in training between now and then for me. They're not going to get better in 3 days, and they could use some extra sleep. :D Just get a result, put that shower of inbreds to rest, so that we can go the rest of the season without their "players" lining up to tell Goal.com that they're going to win the league. Hell, them actually winning the league would at least stop that nonsense. :howler:

Yeah, we'll keep dreaming and you can keep talking. As far as i'm concerned, all questions will be answered at the Bernabeu.

I don't even want the title if Real Madrid can't win over Barca and I'll be perfectly content with the moral victory if Barca loses yet manages to hold on to the title by beating other teams.

#22 ·
The pressure is definitely on Madrid, because anything other than a win would finally close the chapter. But... there is pressure on Barca also, because you could find yourselves in a position where a-once 12 point lead has dwindled down to 1. You have the talent to win the league even with defeat on Saturday -- but talent can be reduced if the players become nervous/panic, as a defeat would cause.

I want to be Irrational and want Pep to start with a Pique Abidal CB partnership. Not only that but Keep Messi, Alves on the Bench and throw them in if we need him. Pique and Abidal will start in Stamford Bridge, might as well train these 3 days with them as CBs and play them a match before going to England. Messi and Alves look a but tired and we need them Fresh. Plus im sure we can win without them. Why can't we go with this Formation...

---------------------------------------------Valdez---------------------------------

-------Puyol--------------------Pique------------------------Abidal--------Sylvinho--

-----------------------Busquets----------------------Keita--------------------------

-------------------------------------------Xavi------------------------------------

-------------Iniesta-------------------Etoo----------------------------Henry-------

Am i talking crap because i'm only thinking about the Chelsea game?

#25 ·
Tiredness or not, one thing to note is that a good result against Madrid could give the squad more energy than a rest would. The team needs confidence more than anything. The pressure is on both sides so we'll see who has the most mettle.

#29 ·
At the end, all the pre-game talk is bullshit. Pressure this, pressure that, we have done this, they have done that.

All bullshit, I mean even Casillas says that he would love to be in Barcelona's place. And according to the Madrid papers, they already won the league.

Whatever.

Game is on Saturday, see you then.

#31 ·
this talk about pressure is complete garbage. neither team has pressure. RM doesn't have pressure because they got nothing to lose anyway and even if they lose they'll say oh well we were too much behind, we did our best blabla and no one will blame them

barca has no pressure because even if they lose they got the title in their own hands

the only issues are how tired barca will be and in what psychological condition, after failing to beat chelsea - and most importantly after even failing to score

in my opinion madrid will go into this game with a higher morale and a more rested team. it could be what makes the difference

#33 ·
what's this bollocks about a moral victory anyway, we suddenly need to win both clasicos to deserve the title, aren't you the same inbred who claimed it was better to increase your clubs budget every year instead of winning anything. you can shove your moral victories up your arse.

Thats more like thinking "I don't give a damn about the title, just want Barcelona to loose it and see them burning in pain."
What do you mean? Real wont be disappointed not to win the title? Thats losers thinking after you "won" so many games not to win the title, you admit in a way Barcelona is better. Of course it "would be" a bad thing for Barcelona to win the title, but the same thing can be said about mandrill.
So why no more pressure on the mandrills since its they're last chance to win the title?

Of course the thing its El Clasico means theres pride, but for Barca the game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge just seems more decisive.

I actually said the following so im not sure where you got your information from:

"If we dont win the league it wont be half as big a deal as it would be for you guys to lose it and I dont think you can dispute that."

Which set of fans will be more dissapointed if they lose the league? Why? Because they are more expectations on your side. Higher Expectations equals more pressure.
