FC BARCELONA vs CD TENERIFE
Camp Nou (Barcelona) | Tue, May 4 | 20:00 CET

The decisive week starts with this midweek game vs Tenerife. Everyone talks about Sevilla as the decisive game and it'll probably be... but this is the main danger of this game. Before we go to Sevilla, we have to defeat Tenerife at home and, normally, it's not a good plan to play a game with the head somewhere else, so let's focus in these 3 points and we'll have time to think in Sevilla. Besides, with a bit of luck, maybe Mallorca surprise Madrid and... unlikely, but...

The other danger is that Tenerife need the 3 points no matter what. They're fighting to avoid relegation and they can't just let it go. In recent weeks, Tenerife are showing that they're not going to surrender that easily and we all remember that Xerez created some problems just one week ago.

TOTS UNITS FEM FORÇA!

As much as I wanted Tenerife to stay in Primera... I want us to win this game.. we really need this win, we can't drop points now... its not gonna be that easy.. but not harder than Villareal..

Visca el Barca y Visca Catalunya.

Last time around , they had a good start and could have been 3-0 up within 15-20 minutes. Hoping for another Bojan start. He needs consecutive starts to show he can be consistent.

That will be very important in the games to come. Concentration in every level. The team have to go for it since the very first moment. We can't play as we did against Xerez or we may end up having a surprise.

Xavi needs to be rested so that injury doesn't get worse. So I would prefer Toure-Busquets-Thiago midfield.

Messi needs to start so that he improves his record and may be even matches Ronaldo's record for us.

I also hope that Bojan starts again. A hat trick for him would make me happy.

Xavi and Messi need to be rested for what? The ****in World Cup? 3 matches to go , pull your socks up and get it over with. No rest , no complacency. You wanna rest go out and do a 5-0 in the first half. Wins in our next 2 matches will knock the life out of Madrid.

Without Iniesta there is no rest for Xavi. Like R10 said, if you wanna rest ? Pull a 5-0 in the first half.

The good thing is that Mallorca needs the points as well. So, I'm sure they'll give everything on Wednesday. But if they stop Mandril on Wednesday, then we have to do them a favor as well on Sunday, by, at least, drawing in Seville.

So, it can happen that the celebrations will start this Wednesday.

I know the importance of Xavi to the team, IMO, he is the most important player for Barca team because of our playing style. In the absence of Iniesta, it could be dangerous.

However, if he indeed has 3 cm or 3 inch tear in the calf, he might become injury prone if we keep playing him. Look at what Torres, Iniesta etc. have become. More injured than playing it seems...

I have such a bad feeling before this game. Really. I was so sure about Villareal game, that we will walk all over them, I was really sure. But I am afraid concerning this game. I feel like Koeman4. There is a small Koeman4 in everyone of us, but mine is currently gaining ground. APAGE SATANA! I need some exorcist to get rid of it. APAGE SATANA!

I'm worried too. It's this type of games that screw up big teams' title hopes and the 48 hour non-stop rain will not help. Hope the drainage system works because the pitch was like a lake this morning.
I'm usually worried, but I can't believe that the players don't go for the victory since the very first minute. This is not even comparable to the game against Xerez, since we had Inter in mind. They should know that only the 3 points are valid and I can't believe that we can drop points at home.

If we lose the league in Sevilla, then be it... Madrid also did a great season and the stats are there. If we lose it against Tenerife and Valladolid... pff, I don't even want to think about that.

we will not fail here... the motive it too great and we will play at full intensity. The danger will be Sevilla because we would have played many games in a short period( including a gruelling CL semi) by the time for it... + its away against a team fighting for top 4

We play a team equal to Xerez, and we're in big danger during that game against Brandy. Hence, teamwork is the key, and therefore I'd like to see Pedro-Bojan-Messi upfront. Give Ibra plenty of minutes, bring him on for Messi after 45 min.

Are you kidding me? I want Messi to score as much goals as he can...

I want Messi to be alive for all of the 3 remaining games. Anyways same that goes for Xavi, applies for Lionel aswell - if the team is leading 3-0 after the first half then they can rest. Otherwise its running time.
