I don't get the "uh, he is just 16!" as if he could improve and become God knows what. Easily, he might have simply reached his peak before other players. No older player has the enthusiasm, the energies, the health, the fitness of a teenager anyway.
Look at Mbappè. Is he a better player than he was in 2018?
 
Of course he can improve, 16 with barely a season of professional football under his belt is like saying you've had a wank in your bedroom so now you're ready to be a pornstar.
i will leave the sexual metaphore because my point of view would sound LFC-esque :D but the way football is right now it is possible that a teenager has that 100% of physical qualities (speed, quick movements) which are particularly precious in wing-forwards and older players lose with the "use" (injuries but not just them). I'm not sure that that loss is balanced by the experience, in particular for players who are young but play like veterans of the game.
