Week 1:

Dive by Milito resulting in the only goal in the game.

Points gifted by referee so far:
+1

Will keep track here.

The penalty was a dive but minutes before it there was clear handball in the box, so it kind of evens out.

Also, Stankovic should have been sent off in the last minute for a horrendous tackle from behind but this would have been a favour for Inter because playing without him is probably better than playing with him in the line-up. ;)

I'll keep my own list:

3 Penalties Denied for Inter by anti-Nerazzuri Referees this Year:

1) Milito gets sandwiched in the box and no penalty is given
2) Eto'o gets barged by the goalkeeper from behind and no penalty is given.
3) Balotelli gets tripped up in the box and no penalty is given.

3 for the year.

Involuntary or not, it was way more of a penalty than the given one.

And yes, Materazzi too but Stankovic was even more obvious, Materazzi at least came somewhat close to getting the ball, Stankovic just hacked from behind out of pure frustration.

I must have missed that one. Anyway, if you can watch DS you'll see that the foul was rated as involuntary whilst Milito's pk was rated as very generous.
Guess tomorrow we'll read the rest on the papers.

Just to add while we're at it:

- Pato pushes Siena's defender before opening the scoring for Milan.

- Poulsen not getting sent off in the 2nd half when he was on a booking and pulled the shirt of one of Chievo's players. The referee allowed play to go on because Chievo were on the attack but the rules clearly entail that the player who made the offence should be booked when play stops. Didn't happen. I guess the referee just 'forgot'

P.S. Couldn't care less about Europa league teams like Roma to bother watching so don't have something to add concerning their match.

this is the Inter cheats thread make your own with those ref mistakes, please. Also don't ever mention Roma because they are one of the few teams that only get mistakes against.

When Baptista took a dive and won a penalty against Lecce last season you didn't utter a single word, mr. fairness police officer. :)

anywhoo

C4/Football Italia

There was danger from a Chievo corner where Pellissier thought he deserved a penalty for a Grygera tug, then on the counter from that incident Diego was alone against four defenders, touched back for Amauri, who cracked his shot against the upright.
Didn't see it so I'll refrain from commenting.

Maybe we should have a special subforum dedicated to commenting the ref mistakes in Serie A. I suspect it might turn out to be more active than the general Serie A forum. ;)

I watched Inter-Bari after half time yesterday. After the penalty I did other things.

Serie A is so negative and it drains my energies. After less than 15 minutes of watching it I ask myself "what's the point in this?"...

To be fair I thought Bari were quite positive yesterday. Wont be the most defensive team to enter the San Siro this year. Inter is already that :pp

The Giallorossi capitulated to Giuseppe Biava’s goal only after the defender narrowly avoided a red card for stopping Jeremy Menez in a clear scoring opportunity.

“It was shameful,” snapped Totti. “It is incredible what the referee gave as an explanation. When we asked why Biava had not been sent off, he said it was because the ball was too high and therefore it was not a last man foul.

“Either I missed a bit of the rulebook somewhere, or that was a clear and obvious red card offense.”

Infact serie A is highly positive. I think that it has hardly been so positive lately. Who cares if Kakà and Ibra left it? Yesterday all the games were extremely balanced. No team won with more than 1 goal difference and that in spite of the fact that the big three faced three teams which are likely going to fight in the relegation battle.
Those who moan about the mistakes of the referees perhaps have forgotten Moggi, a man who almost cheated in the light of the day because he had grown confident that nothing could happen to him and now is telling us a bunch of bs about "forces he had to fight", as if there could be something worse than himself in the Italian football.

MG: Indeed he has, I really wonder why signore Verdi tortures himself like this and bothered to watch those 15 minutes?
