Ok, so it is a little while away but I just can't wait until we get our league campaign well and trully off the mark.

Woodgate has returned to training and will play in a friendly next week, so he should start against Betis.

Ronaldo should also be back for that game, and Zidane will finally have recovered completely from that shoulder problem.

Real Madrid at FULL strength for the first time this season!

HALA MADRID!

This is gonna be the game that will determine if our liga title is still alive or not, 3 defeats so far, thats too much, the usual title winners end up with 8 defeats in the whole season so that leaves us with around 5 defeats and la liga has just started. Its a bad start but we can make it up from this game...

We will be at full strength and the new inclusion of Woody right now comes at perfect time as that will give confidence to the rest of the players.... Ronaldo is back, we cannot expect anything but a win.

PL:

Casillas; Salgado, Woodgate, Samuel, R.Carlos; Helguera, Beckham; Figo, Zidane; Raul, Ronaldo;

- The best we can lineup this season. Although this is what i prefer:

Casillas; Salgado, Woodgate, Samuel, R.Carlos; Helguera, Celades, Beckham; Raul, Zidane; Ronaldo;

R.Carlos and Raul on the left side with him going in the middle.... and Beckham and Salgado on the right, Zidane given a central role with ronaldo up front as both do not defend and we cant make them do that. So we use no real wingers. Figo can rotate with Becks but i would rather have becks on that role as he is ready to go back and defend as much as attack thats what i respect about this player, seems like people do not see it.

Helguera will be the key.If he can impose himself in midfield like he used to before, then the team will look a lot more balanced than the joke that it is now.

If any of you are betting men, then put in a punt on Woody getting injured in his comback match though the odds will be very low.:D

I have a good feeling about Woodgate.

The best case senario for Madrid this season is for Woodgate to play the WHOLE season together with Samuel without interruptions and for Javier Mascherano to arrive in Madrid.

If those two things happen, we would be in a very good position to win la liga and the CL.

The usual winners finish with more like 5 losses, but thats fair enough.

It's simple:we want to win, the players play with the atittude that we are losing 2-0 from kickoff, we have enough firepower to beat any team....MY ANSWER TO THE CRISIS. Betis is a tough opponent no doubt. Joaquin and Oliveira are in excellent form at the moment and judging from their last game vs. Valencia they will give us a hell of a match. We are 0-2-1 in their stadium since the 2001-02 stadium, so if we are looking at this game to end our string of la liga bad luck we better look elsewhere.

Good line-up but the midfield lacks creativity...swap Beckham with Figo...and I think it would be a more balanced team!

Moro should play, instead of Raul or Ronaldo, he should play!!

Against Deportivo just look at the number of crosses Figo crossed something close to 20 Raul and Ronaldo simply can't head the ball.

I don't see us winning this game, IF we did, it would be another 1-0 win with an awful performance.
Woodgate isn't going to make a big improvement on the defence THIS game as its his debut plus he didn't play a single game since April

silly bet Shaf, he was obviously never going to stay injury free for that long :D

he may play and he may not.

MADRID, Spain (AP) - Jonathan Woodgate may be forced to delay his Real Madrid debut after withdrawing from a training session because of injury on Thursday.

Woodgate was forced off the field 20 minutes into a practice match at Madrid's training ground, news reports said.
The club has yet to announce the extent of Woodgate's injury.

The England international, who joined Madrid from Newcastle United in August, only recently resumed full training after recovering from a left thigh injury he suffered in April.

Madrid was expected to field the defender for the first time in a friendly against minor-league team Alcorcon next Tuesday as preparation for the league game against Real Betis the following weekend.

Woodgate's regular injury problems, which limited him to participation in only 37 of 128 of Newcastle's games, obliged Madrid to subject him a three-hour medical before he signed.

Woodgate's new setback may add to the problems of the Spanish powerhouse, which has made a poor start to the season. Lying in 10th place in the 20-team Spanish first division, Madrid has only scored four goals in six games

Isn't it a bit early to predict who scores? What if Ronaldo breaks a leg in his international match?
What if Ronaldinho breaks a leg? That means Lights out Cules!!!

You mean what if Ronaldinho picks up a knee injury? :D

I can't believe Woodgate is injured again, we can't take our chances and HAVE to look elsewhere. There is no way we can win anything with Raul Bravo.

No way.

Thats why I'm not predicting that Ronaldinho will score twice against Espanyol. And not that you'll remember, but we showed that we are perfectly capable of winning without Ronaldinho.

Signing Ronaldinho would be the ULTIMATE screw-up for Barca.

I think the Nou Camp would be burnt down if he went to Real!

Yeah eh? It's nice to dream, isn't it?

Do you know what his buy-out clause is? :rollani:
