They're better opponents than the Swiss IMO. Pretty weak in defense and not very stabile, might be able to put up a decent fight but might collapse easily too.

Switzerland would have been more difficult with their excellent defending and team discipline plus they know how to kill the game and get results against stronger teams.

I still believe in Camoranesi next to Totti with Toni upfront just like v Czech. However Inzaghi-Toni attack is an option. The team Lippi needs to get right. Nesta might not be fit.

 

Awful match between Ch and Ukraine, Sheva choked Henry-like, topping in his poor penalty and the rest is simply not breathtaking either.

Despite the poor performance of Italy today, I am confident we'll make the semis. Even after Materazzi got send off, we still looked strong enough to beat the Ukraine team of the Swiss encounter

Barzagli was good in the 40 minutes today. If he can do the same he would be good, but Ukraine will play with more movement than Aussies so really Nesta in defence would be nice.

As long as you have 11 men on the field for 90 min, you shouldnt have any problems winning this game, regardless the formation and who plays
