not exactly 12 millions I think...
We payed a bit too much in my opinion.
He looks okay, and I think he also hit the post lol.
His partnership with Kaka is also good I think.
But I'm not worried over his goal-lackness.
First, it's his first Serie A season, and his first season in Milan. Then we also have to notice, that his sister still is kidnapped!

Yes he is. He has scored and hit the post 4 times. How accurate a forward can be? :lala:

He's worth it. Keep in mind that Oliveira was injured for almost a year not long ago. Milan is in a mess at the moment and I never expected him to lift the team up on his own. Every single Milan player is struggling at the moment, especialy mentaly. For Oliveira it's even more difficult, the pressure is extremely high on him as he's supposed to be Sheva's replacement which isn't easy when the team isn't functioning.

^ What he said. And he has a sister who is kidnapped as well.

whats the point in making a thread if people are answering your questions the way they see fit?

do not start threads in this forum if this is what you have to offer.

according to me, he is not worth even half of that. But I think that he has shown gusts of great talent, so maybe next year he will be worth the amount of money the club payed for.

I think he can be and show it a lot faster, despite the personal problems, if Ancelotti would let him have a clear run in the side and rotate between Gilardino and Inzaghi instead.

His movement I think is excellent and his sharpness in front of goal will come if he plays more and more. He was injured for most of last season wasn't he?

Compared with Gilardino who is just below par in every department at the moment, I sense Oliveira can be excellent given the consistent trust of Carlo.

It is still to early to tell. Give him a few more matches to run.

btw, if he got a sister-problem, your management got to let him do what he needs to do.... he couldnt concentrate playing 100%... could he?

Well, we have to consider that he was a very important player to Betis...and Betis had already sold Joaquin so they had no money problems and weren't forced to sell him. He might have not been worth it but it wasn't realistic to get him cheaper either.

I dont like Oliveira.. I have watched him a lot.. and think he is ok/good but not my kind of player..

I can't believe so many people answered this nimrod's obvious provocation thread. :D

OK, so here's my answer ;)

We paid that much money for him because time was running out and we needed to get somebody in the last forward spot. Oliveira has the potential to be very useful (especially when his shots move over three inches and stop hitting posts) but he was definitely not worth 16 million euros or whatever it was.

Oliveira was somebody we should have paid 5 or 6 million for had we taken the advantage in negotiations but didn't. He was struggling for Valencia, on loan to Sao Paulo and we break the bank for him. Clearly desperate, not intelligent, business.

Dude...he wasn't in Valencia, he was a key player in Betis and the only reason they loaned him to Brazil for short time was that he was recovering from tough injury and wanted to get in form fast to have a chance to go to WC2006 with Brazilian NT. He scored about 0.6 goals per game while in Betis and was their most important player after Joaquin , there's no way we could have got him cheap no matter how much time we had. Betis had no money troubles and no need to sell him.

He seems to be worth some faith. It's not our money anyway.

He's a very good striker, I like him. He's a nice fella too, humble.

I remember his time at Brazil, with Portuguesa and Santos, Oliveira scored some amazing goals, powerful ones.

He will not be Sheva's class, but I think Milan can trust him.
