Having walked around the block a few times, we Argies are still quite weary of them. Do not underestimate a sleeping beast. True, they may wake up as an innocent cat, or worse, they may give you that unexpected yet fatal bite.

Brazilian NT no longer the most enjoyable to watch imo...

Player by player Brasil is stacked with talent, but as a team they seem to just walk around and their game just isn't as flowing as it used to be. Right now Portugal and Spain play the best football, clearly more enjoyable to watch than Brasil imo.

IMO, what Brazil have missed a long time is a new Dunga and/or Mauro Silva. they where great DMs and could give all the freedom to their never ending pool of offensive talents. that they also really would need Ronaldo back is another thing.

No-doubt brazil has the best talent worldwide. What they need is put up a balanced team. That would need a good coach for them.

If they bring scolari back somehow, it would be awesome for them

Being Killed usually have a good effect on us as well. Dying in this Copa America may mean something better in the near future...
Anyways, what is the surprise, Even for Brazil is hard to keep the level of the NT when we can not even play in our country. When everything is done to weaken what we always had ahead of everyone (it was not just talent) - Brazil NT is organized and structured out of the field in levels that the other nations usually are just dreaming. All the recent confusion in the international Football is hurting it (and hurting the quality of football overall)...

They haven't exactly picked their best available squad, a lot of youngsters could have been brought in but I guess the U17's and such were considered more important.

you know, when brasil beat Argentina 3-0in that friendly in London, we were all the hype again. Then in 2 games, we have become crap. Of well. At least the World cup is still 3 years away

3 years we will be crap, we face two major problems

a) a coach, we need someone to close the group of players and work them till they form a team

b) europe is killing our football, or we are killing it, not only we are losing the young but now we cannot even play friendlies at home, this is another reason we need a coach with experience when it comes to forming a team, we don´t have time to waste in 100 experiments and blind coaches that think just because you won there were no faults.

Brazil needs team spirit and the top players need more attachment to their NT, which should always be placed before anything else when given the choice, even your own rest.
Once they have half a locker room atmosphere, the WC is theirs to lose with no questions asked.

Brasil just got done with one of it's most successful generations in their history. From 94 to the other day they were either winning the world cup or coming in second. Brasil didn't win a world cup for 24 years and then all of a sudden they went on a streak that lasted 12 years. I wouldn't say they're in a decline but more like a restructuring phase. They don't count with Cafu, Ronaldo or Roberto Carlos anymore but they have so much talent coming in that they need to find the right combo. It happens.

What I find too is that a lot of countries are catching up with the super powers because they're youth efforts are coming to fruition so no team can have a walk in the park like they used to with smaller teams. They don't scare teams off the park anymore. There was a time when a Brasil or Argentina would step on the pitch and the opposition would pay them so much respect that they'd play scared. The gulf in class is not so prevalent anymore.

Do you really think Gordo is out of the team?
This Copa America will only make it evident that he is needed more than ever, and the gordo is even in hungry for success and in hot form so you really can't ask for more.

Why do people keep insisting this is a Brazil B team? Who the hell are you missing besides Kaka and Dinho? Fred is injured, not unavailable, and the rest of the team seems to simply be the up and coming players combined with world class talent like Diego and Anderson.

The downfall of the Brazil NT came about after Rivaldo's:heart: subsequent retirement from the team. I'm telling you guy's that if he'd played in the 2006 world cup than Brazil would have remained champions. The effect he has on the NT is so evident and Brazil will need to find a player with the same flair and touch ( kaka is no way as exciting and effective as him) if they want to be "great" again.

I'm in no way biased towards Rivaldo even though I find him sublime and kinda sexy:eek:
