the old one is anywhere in the depth of XT and dont have the time to dig it out again.

today, RONALDO signed till 2008...2 years longer than his so far actual contract, and one year longer than it was rumored lately.

yesterday, PAVON signed his first professional contract yesterday.

seems the club is doing long-term plans to avoid interventions by Abramovich...et al.

signed:

Guti (2007?),
Salgado (2008),
Zidane (2007),
Raul (2010).

still to do but tough:

RC - his contract runs out in 2005
Casillas - he should definitely get a rise!!!!

when is casillas contract due?
i think that's the contract negotation that CQ fears the most.
it will be coming from a junior salary to a galactico salary...
and perez will be forced to recongnize at that point, that even someone who dont score goals, is very important to the team.

casillas contract ends in 2006, and his wages don't even reach 1m per season!

ronaldo just extended two years his contract that means moro are even more further away from us. it reminds me that casillas was frozen as with negotiation in the increase in wage. but you know our perez doesn't always make sense. if not, makelele would hadn't left. didn't makelele deserve more? the answer is obvious.

last night, pavon played with helguera again. but have you noticed that their position is changed? helguera on the left with carlos while pavon on the right with salgado. pavon did not bad while helguera made several mistakes. probably due to playing alongside carlos?!

Makelele definitely deserved more, but once he started his protests and all, there really was no option but to not give him what he wanted. Why ? Because it would set a dangerous precedent, and thereafter, players would reckon doing things like not showing up at training actually works at Real Madrid, so anyone who wants a raise could follow that path.

Yes but we need to build a bit more on the franchise. We need a good centerback and/or DM. He needs to be young too.

Overall, we have a great franchise and the only team that can even compare to us in players is AC Milan

The Executive Committee has reaffirmed that the decision made by the Players' Status Committee remains valid, meaning Real Madrid are required to pay within thirty days the sum established and still not deposited, the two successive instalments and five percent interest.

No new Real deal for Ronaldo
Tuesday, 13 July 2004

skysports.com

by Francisco Acedo
Ronaldo will not be signing a new contract at Real Madrid and will depart the club in 2006, according to his agent.
Rodrigo Pavia has revealed that Ronaldo would not be prolonging his stay beyond his current deal which expires in two years.

Real president Florentino Perez stated before the recent elections that he wanted Ronaldo to sign a two-year deal and that the agreement was almost done.

However, Pavia has now revealed that Ronaldo will be leaving Real after the World Cup in Germany.

"He wants his freedom in the future," Paiva told Brazilian news agency Estadao.

"After the World Cup in Germany he will think about the subject."

Sources suggest that Ronaldo has no intention of cutting short his Madrid career and fully intends having another two seasons with the club.

In two seasons Ronaldo will be 29 - and providing he is still fit an almighty scramble for his signature is likely to ensue.

Sorry Koeman4, but this isn't true ;)
In AS Pavia said it was false news and Ronaldo wants to end his career in Real Madrid.

I didn't say it's true or not, I saw it and I thought it could be interesting for you. In two years many things may change.

About what Ronaldo wants, he's a mercenary (as all the players, including the ones who play in Barça), he already said he wanted to end his career in Barcelona and in Inter later... Ronaldo has already shown that he can leave a club whenever he wants.
