I'm confused, why isn't there even a topic about tomorrow's game? Is the forum THAT dead?!

Come on you bastards, I need a place to vent. :pp

Mazzarri:

As for the fans, what's important is the enthusiasm they show, not how many of them there are. The economic crisis has affected stadium attendances too. There are families who would like to come but can't. I'm as much a fan as anyone and I believe that when you go to the stadium you have to show your support for 95 minutes, otherwise it can have the opposite effect. You have to create the best conditions possible for the players to perform at their best and if fans do that they can give us a huge hand. If at the end of the 95 minutes they haven't enjoyed what they've seen and they want to boo then so be it, but during the match they have to get behind the players."

Wise words

So you weren't able to watch Inter because of your gf? wuss...

Shouldnt throw her out... you need something to vent on
Something? :D :err:

As with the start of every season, I am fairly confident and just super happy that Inter and Serie A are back.

I'm very keen to see the new boys in action, find out if the likes of Icardi, Belfodil, Taider + Campagnaro and Wallace can be Inter quality for the long term and short.

I want to see if Mazarri can get the most out of players like Kovacic and Guarin, who could be the difference between an average season and very good season + can he sort out the defence?

Watching Verona crush Milan earlier today was a great start to the season.

I'd hardly call the forum dead, but when it comes to starting match threads we're all afraid of taking responsibility - due to superstition/scaramanzia mainly. Speaking of which, if we lose tomorrow then no more thread starting for you! :lala: :D

On the game itself - Gila worries me, he has scored against us for several teams.

We havent lost to Genoa in 19 years, 8 wins 5 draws.

Genoa only scored 38 goals last season and both our matches against them ended as draws.

Considering both teams complete inability to score goals and that neither team has made any bog improvements in the mercato, id say this game has draw written all over it.

0-0 or 1-1.

Predicted lineups. Icardi and Belfodil both on the bench, remind me why we got TWO inexperienced youngsters for the forward line again? Its so obvious that one of them will end up getting no playing time all almost.

If that really is the line-up then it is amazing that a team that finished 9th last season has made basically only one change to the starting line-up

mind-boggling stuff

Those were all away games though.

Ranieri and Stramaccioni won their Serie A debuts with us, didn't mean much eventually...

Red doesnt know what is a change of system., nor a change of game plan nor difference of Coaches. So the table this season must remain the same to him, why does he bother to watch.

If it rains today, then it must rain tomorrow.

If a ferrari breaks down, then all ferraris must break down.

You can't help it but feel this particular combination of players doesn't ooze confidence, though.

Btw, Jimmy. Shameful OP. How can you start a thread without giving the time?

I know you've been away but this is no excuse. :redcard:

You better sit down and think hard about what you've done. I can't imagine Nacka will be very pleased about this.

There's something I want to say but won't as not to jinx anything. :)

Now, we're playing at home against a side that was battling to avoid the drop for a couple of seasons or so, only 1 real striker is not enough. Perin was only bothered once all half.

I'd take out Naga, put Ricky on the left to give more width and play with Belfodil upfront. Not Icardi because he had an injury against Cittadella.

Jonathan our best player in that half btw.
