I’ll start out with the classic quotes I found in the Milan-Deportivo thread….great stuff, sit down, have a beer and laugh it off..I think tomorrow I’ll go searching for some of the stupid shit I said in XT and my Interista Tazz…and then we’ll go on from there…All in good nature, Funny shit, just laugh :)

Deportivo 5 Milan 0

San Siro said:
:howler: Poor desillusioned Perdente I truly feel :embarass: and :depress: for you...:groan:

After the trolls talk, onto some serious business:

Depor-Milan 1-1 (Pandiani-Pippo).

Cheers.
-San Siro, expressing his apparent disregard for the Pulsar’s predictions…little was did he know what was to come next…..

I think it is very difficult for them to win 3-0. To do this they must attack by all means and this will leave open space in their back for Milan to counter-attack. Milan are the best in the world in this (better than Leeds I think!:D ) and it is rather impossible not to score at least a goal. Then they need to score 5 to advance! Pretty hard work against the Maldini and Co. defence, don't you think?
FORZA ROSSONERI!!!
-Steven7, it must be very difficult indeed…..

Lav said:
with that said.....lyon or porto?
-Lav, how about neither? :)

San Siro said:
This is a game that we should use for the turnover and we can afford it. Our players, specially the ones of the first 11 are showing signs of fatigue. I'd say we should give guys like Paolo, Pirlo, Ringho, Kaka and Sheva a much needed rest and give some playing times to others. I'd also not risk Sheva that soon and have him fresh for next weekend.
stuckup

Cheers.;)
-San Siro, but why rest players for such a season-turning game?

Lav said:
i agree with paymans sentiment...lets wrap up the seria a ASAP....i want us to win the thing mathematically so we can focus on semi's.

this game is a easy win (just dont lose 3-0) as such lets have squad turnover and rest sheva, kaka, maldini, seedorf and rino.
-Lav, whoops- they lost 4-0…does that count?

SteVen_7 said:
We should start posting in htis thread, don't you think?
The game is less than 24 hours away...
Hopw there will be a celebration here tomorrow night ;)
FORZA ROSSONERI!!!
-Steven7, sorry no party tonight….

Setzer said:
Milan has 95% of chances to advance... Depor can be very dangerous but I think a 3-0 is too much:eek:
-Setzer, what was the confidence interval on that statistic? Possibly 10 percent? :)

abdulkadir said:
I say we go there and play our game and destroy them 4-0. A kaka hat trick would be good. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

:star: forza milan:star:

P.S another pirlo freekick would be nice as well.
-Abdulkadir, good score prediction but you got the sides mixed up 

IanZ said:

-IanZ, commenting on a good day starting to go bad….

Ze da Fiel said:
can it be a real madrid / arsenal syndrom?
-Ze da Fiel, as usual, good analysis…didn’t take a football expert to figure that one out..

Carson35 said:
less than 25 mins to go...don't think u'll get 10mins xtra stoppage time...
Carson35 said:
milan probably don't need 10mins xtra stoppage time...all they need is a penalty... :D
-Carson35, absolutely brilliant…my favorite….Hahahhahahahha

“Captain Maldini and I shook hands and took a solemn oath,” announced the Vice-President. “We will do everything in our power to reach that tournament showdown in Istanbul and conquer our seventh edition of the European Cup.”
-Galliani......LOL..........since when did oaths decide European ties?....ohh yeah since he started paying Serie A referees...

Psycho said:
Stam is indeed damn sloooooooow...
-Really Psycho? Good thing, since he's on Milan this year....

paw said:
Stam should just shut up and play football. No, he should improve in order to criticise others. He is not great. He is slow. He is nothing spectacular. And quite honestly, if he don't play for Man Utd, he is ordinary. And to rubbish pple in his book shows how naive he is.

I really throw my respect for Stam out of the window.

paw:)
-Paw, so do I...that no good Milanista....

paw said:
Ever since the article came out, he slipped and fell against Liverpool in the charity shield and allows Owen to score and against Fulham, he went in blindly for the ball and missing it and allows Saha to score Fulham's goal.

Call that man an outstanding defender? I will have to think about it.

paw
-Paw, so does Moratti...which is why he didn't sign Stam this offseason...

milano77 said:
Plz tell me, do we really need Jaap Stam at Milan?

Now don't misunderstand. I know that he is a tremendous defender. And he would definately improve any defence. Though he usually plays in the middle, he has played most of last season at RB in Lazio. We already have Cafu and apparently Bonera for that position. Our back-ups for that position are Simic, Billy and even RJ.

I am convinced that Maldini is not going back to his former position at LB. So how does Stam gets into the squad? I am sure, he won't accept a back-up role for any position.

IMO, a buy (if made) would be silly and certainly not our priority. Only a luxury.
-Milano77, I agree

BOMBAZO: New York Metro Stars have signed Nesta!
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me inform you of the greatest football transaction to ever occur in the United States of America. The greatest team of the greatest nation of the world just signed the greatest defender of the world, from Italy's Lazio.:eek::groan::fero::depress::mad::(

BREAKING NEWS!

NEW YORK. July 5th, (AFP). A few minutes after 5.30 pm, EST, New York Metro Stars' President and General Manager, Nick Sakiewicz announced via telephone from his hotel room in one of the ressorts in the Bahamas, that the mega sensational transfer of Italian super star and former captain of Lazio, Alessandro Nesta has been finalized and will be presented in a gigantic press conference sometime next week.

"Nesta is thrilled to join us, as the ambition of our club perfectly matches his ambition." Despite leaving Serie A giants Lazio for the MSL might not look like being a move predicted by the experts, it is still a very exciting move not only for Nesta, but also for us, this franchise and the whole of MLS to be exposed to such a world class soccer player." As to the size of the contract or the economical impacts or amounts needed to bring the italian super star to the Big Apple, no data is available as of now, but one can safely assume we are talking about a massive amount in a massive transaction, probably one of the biggest ever in professional sports in America of all time.

Sakiewicz added "this move may well be the beginning of a new era, in which the MSL will be slowly taking more and more importance in the world of soccer. This is an exciting time because the MSL in an expansion phase now and I wouldn't be surprised if more world class players joined other MLS teams in the near future. Obviously, this can only drastically help the developpment of this sport in the US, but also positively impact the US national team after their great run at the recent FIFA World Cup, where we reached the 1/4 finals."

John Davis, of the New York Sunday Night Times.

As you can see, all those phony reports about Nesta being already an Inter player or a Juve player or Real player is nothing but pure BS and speculation as he is a Metro Star player from now on....:groan::
:dontcare: :dazed:
-San Siro quality...no comment

PS- I live around NYC, and never heard of the Sunday Night Times....hahhah.....but of course, good creativity on his part..
