Well good result for the Austria game, what now?

I think Modric should definetly be started with Kranjcar. We have to see how this works. Again:happy:

I dont know, i wanna watch this game though and see how Didulica was, the Austrians keep hyping him up. He seems better when that long shot comes in. Butina and Pleti....well i just dont feel safe with them. They look very hesitant and un comfortable when challenged. So i think Joey has a chance to be our no.1. Maybe just not against the aussies;)

Iran is better than Austria and Prso may be rested. Time for Klasna to confirm his form!!

So Butina with Joey on the bench... that leaves Stipe in goal... :rollani:

I dont know if "our" coach is talking out of his ass but he says he wants to go with Olic, Prso, and Klasnic vs Brazil. I dont like it.

If that is the case who is going to be headed to the bench because obviously its not going to be our worst starter(Niko).......

Here is why Niko Kovac should be benched. It is obvious his game towards the offensive is seriously lacking. He holds the ball too long, his passes are errant, and most of the time they are side to side or backwards. I respect what he has done for us, but even his defense is not what it used to be.

I really think at this time Tudor covers more ground than Kovac, because of his size and great ability to read the game. When comparing their offensive instincts Kovac makes Tudor look like Kaka. Tudor does a great job of sending balls forward and finding open space. He sent at least 4 excellent balls into our forwards yesterday. I would hate to see Tudor moved to our backline, when he is just as effective as Kovac defensively, better in the air and 1 on 1's, and most importanly has a much better feel for the offensive part of our game.

Modric and Tudor played very well yesterday together in the second half, and I think they were the reason it allowed Kranjcar to find more open space. Lets face it, Kranjcr cant make a game changing play unless it is opened up by his teamates and having Modric and Tudor, two guys that know how to play offensive it allows him free space and God knows he needs tons of it to be effective.

Modric came into the game, made several runs with the ball and gave it to Kranjcar who every time had the space he needed to make a play. Even his passing, if you look closely was excellent, playing neat combo's with Babic and sending Olic free down the left side several times. Just Modric running with the ball allows openings for our guys. And both he and Tudor can both dictate our offense, because of their excellent feel of who and when guys should get the ball. Kovac just doesnt posess this quality and I think its obvious from a plane.

I can not beleive I am reading this.... Mate he has been the most consistant player throughout qualifying and he has been the biggest fighter on the pitch along with Srna. He will be the last man that gets benched, he is our captain man!! :rollani:

When this man retires we will not recuperate for a couple of years as he just does so much work tracking back... He even saved us 2 or 3 times in the first ten minutes yesterday. He didnt go out at half time but in the 60th munute at which stage Austria made heaps of subs and had their inexperienced team on (This accounts for the space others had)

BAD IDEA IN MY OPINION - DONT CHANGE A WINNIG TEAM!!!

Once again, I respect Kovac. However, everything I just said is true and sometimes being just a "fighter" isnt good enough man.

We have fighters with skill. Tudor and Modric arent fighters???? Tudor scares the shit out of people, lays beatings on them. Modric runs his ass off, has the heart of a lion.

We wont recoperate??? Jesus Christ, who guys make it sound like he hs Godlike powers. Everybody tracks back, everybody plays defense. How many balls did he win?? A couple. You guys make it sound like teams will score 10 goals a game against us without him.

Once again, I seriously dont understand what you guys see when you watch matches. OMG get your head out of your ass!!!! Hertha Berlin will be regulated for sure next year, and when he retires forget about it we will have the worst defensive team in the world with the likes of Tudor, R Kovac, Simunic, Tomas, Simic, etc I mean withour N Kovac these guys would be made fools of.

Talk as much shit about Niko Kranjcar but I wish you wouldnt bag Niko Kovac as he is just too important to this team....

Niko Kovac benched?

I thought you were a football "neznalica" before, now I'm absolutely convinced!

FOR THE 100TH TIME!!!

IT'S R-E-L-E-G-A-T-E-D

not "regulated".

Orkan on Niko Kranjcar, priceless!! :howler: talk about shooting yourself in the balls.

Ummmm, I was talking about Modric. Maybe if you watched the game you would have known that.

Heres a quote from your boy, I guess he is a neznalica to you too now.

"Što je utakmica odmicala Tudor je bio sve bolji, Niko je bio rastrčan i poletan, ali puno konstantniji u drugom dijelu nego u prvom. On i Modrić zajedno su kasnije držali igru." - priznaje Cico.

You should stick to rugby.

Marko!

Congrats buddy! i should try thinking about settling down too.....

what am i crazy?!?!?!?!?!?!?

:howler:

Anyway, Orkan, youre sticking to your guns mate. Very respectable! The N. Kovac question is intriguing , I have to admit.

There are a bunch of English guys I work with. Everytime we talk about a player, the FIRST question they ask is "How old is he?" Its almost like they treat players are thourughbreds. Which makes sense! Watching the Austria game , I wanted Cico to take Prso out in the first half!! Becuase he is a thourougbred! Put him in the stables, give him the best horse feed , and pamper him until the Kentucky Derby. :howler:

I know my argument has many holes in it, BUT, a players age and fitness has a lot to do with everything. Heart can only take you so far!

Can it relate to Niko?? Hmmm.... Ultimately I have to disagree, but I respect your opinion Orkan.

And Ero, this guy knows football. No need for the name calling. ;)
