I'll add some of a Gil Vicente-FC Porto game,it was some years ago,for the Taça (cup) and Porto won 1-0 with a goal by Mielcarski.The game ended up 0-0 after the 90 mn and when the next 30 minutes were almost over,(the game was in the afternoon and it was already night) he scored

 

When our João Pinto was playing

 

And Edmilson was ours...

 

And Carlitos was a Gilista ....and Jardel was in blue...


Of course the stadium is very similar to FCP's and one could say the game was played at Antas

 

Here's another pic inside Das Antas before kickoff. After watching the game I was very impressed with Boavista (the didn't deseve to lose 4-1). The next day in the papers Pacheco said his players 'played like girls' but that he 'still believed in them'
("apareciao mulheres mas ainda credito em elhes" ) which I thoght was a bit funny/odd.

The player I was least impressed with was PENA! This guy is 100% crap. He belongs in planet of the apes. Just doesn't have the technical skill the other players have (Capucho, Postiga, Costa etc). One time during the game, he tried to control the ball but lost it of his chest and out of bounds... you could hear him say "Filho da P***" along the sideline and the crowd jeered him for it.

Very impressed with J. Andrade. This guy is top quality. Mario Silva and Fredrik were good off season acqusitions. Postiga's got height for a forward- must be around 6'4" or 6'5" by my estimate- Costinha looked like a dwarf next to him on the bench. Plus he can play.

LadyEagle - sorry about the punt, must have been a typo Anyway good to see that there are Benfiquistas with a sense a humor and that not all of them take things so seriously.

Anyway, for a finale here's my final photo... and lol this is definately a kodac moment... at least a portuguese kodac moment.
