Looks like all Man Utd fans are watching right now. Its the 90th minute, MU needs miracle, no its all over, Liverpool wins the curtain raiser. Probably the sign of MU will win EPL again?;)

It's the trademark sign of another Premiership title :D

Liverpool played better in the first half, but United dominated the second. And anyone who saw the match will agree that the ref cheated us for 2 penalties. Stupid f*ck! But so what, we showed that we can play very well against our main Premiership rivals but we weren't concentrated enough in the first half. RVN demonstrated yet again what a cool finisher he is and I think we're in good shape. Let them celebrate another plastic trophy, we will take care of the ones that matter...

To be honest, Liverpool defense to deep in the 2nd half and Man U have all the chance to get it back....

Well, it was a good game and i hope the EPL which kick off next weekend will be a lot more challenging then last season.

it was a good game from both sides, an early goal surprised the manu players and the second one made them loose their fighting will, although when they came back into the second half, they looked more inspired to win the game, i think ferguson had something to say at half time. But i think the referee was totally unfair with ManU! He should have given them at least one penalty. I still think ManU is better!

absent mind in 1st half and too many chances losing in 2nd half,MU failure seems a destiny.:sigh:

Well UTD's defense worrying me again:depress: Fergie go out and get someone:mad:

As for the match Liv played well in the first half but we dominated in the second and the FREAKING SOB of a ref cheated us a couple of blatant penalties. He still holds a grudge against us for that infamous incident couple of seasons back.Ruud is great and with Seba back this team will get even better. Not to worry losing the Shield is a good sing for us,rite UTD fans:D :D

K-2, do you know why Johnsen wasnt playing... it seemed a bit weird as he and Stam formed a great relationship in the past.

I don't think Liverpool played well at all, they played like gutless wimps just like at the Nou Camp... strong words but just my opinion.

The Ref was a joke, we would have forgiven him if he at least gave us the pen on the second handball, but he was obv too unprofessional as he let his own personal grudge against United over power Fifa regulations.

No point us saying 'well we didnt have Seba', coz they never had Gerrard... but Veron is would have outclassed Liverpool on his own.

... also, shame we didnt bring someone like Ayala.

But lets hope for a successful season

Din't Man united ped for Ayala from Valencia..the guy rocks..get him..at least he would be a company for Veron :D:D

just wait and see when V-V get togather in shape ..they will rock ...V-V = Veron + Van

Fergie has already stated that the match was too big an occasion for the ref and that he was completely out of his depth...never got over Middlesborough from all accounts.
Hopefully we won't be getting him again, at least not in any of the important matches.

Well nistelrooy10,I was also surprised to see G.Neviile partner Stam in the centre.I dont know whats wrong with Johnsen.Dont tell me he got injured again.

As for Ayala, ihavent heard much about that rumor.Yeah it would have been great if we had got him.Not only can he defend well but also has a lethal header.

Overall, the team will do fine.If we dont get anyone in defense, which is highly unlikely now:( ,Fergie gotta work on this part of the field pretty hard. Also I'd like to see Rohnny partnering Stam and that would bring more stability as G.Neville is prone to some silly mistakes.

The ref was a FĂşckin disgrace, there were a number of occasions where he sould of allowed the advantage.

Gary played yesterday because he's suspended from the Fulham game so Alex wanted to give him a game to work on his fitness.

Dennis isn't suspended from the Fulham game but again Fergie sees this as an exercise game to get the players' fitness levels up so he gave Dennis a run-out as well.

Don't expect to see Dennis at Fulham.
