Costel Pantilimon (FC Timişoara) - did well for Timisoara but isn't the most reliable

George Ogăraru (FC Steaua Bucureşti) - way too passive in his defending, technically sound though

Cristian Panin (CFR Cluj) - he's solid... very solid but that's that


Gabriel Tamaş (FC Dinamo Bucureşti) - despite the critique one must admit that Dinamo has one of the best sheets this season


Mirel Rădoi (FC Steaua Bucureşti) - his worst season so far bar the ones he was injured for most of it... against Timisoara it was the 1st game I saw good ol' Radoi

Dorin Goian (FC Steaua Bucureşti) - easy choice, hes amazing

Valerică Găman (FC U Craiova) - he's a talent but is he really among the best already? Craiova's defence has its ups n downs

Răzvan Raţ (FC Şahtior Doneţk) - no idea how he does there

Mijlocaşi: Adrian Ropotan (FC Dinamo) - :wth: this guy is way too immature yet... dives, has no positional sense, fouls way too much and his oversight of the pitch is a joke


Costin Lazăr (FC Rapid Bucureşti) - one of the worst players for Rapid this season, horrible display game in game out

Răzvan Cociş (FC Lokomotiv Moscova) - of course... :rollani:

Iulian Tameş (FC Argeş) - this guy really does a fine job at Arges

Cristian Tănase (FC Argeş) - displays why he's one of the best players in Romania right now, brilliant for Arges

Florin Costea (FC U Craiova) - he's an idiot for being so lazy but his talent is undoubtable

They are already in Romania since the weekend. Cuper said these days that Adrian Ilie was more technical than Mutu. Cuper called "waste of talent" to Ilie when he was his player at Valencia, but he was unable to get the best from him like Ranieri did.

 

Wow Hector Cuper has made it into Georgia. That's funny actually. I like how there is alot of Divizia A players on the team mixed in with the regulars. I say we win 2-0.

 

Cuper never gave him a real chance, just look how Ilie played under Raniere. it's true that Ilie is more technical than Mutu...imo Ilie was one of these special rom players (with a special mentality) like Stoica, Cernat, Sanmartean...players who didn't even achieved 50% of what they could've been in world football.

I don´t think the selection is bad. Many first choices are out so some emergency names are to be expected.

 

Yeah. Gaman. Ropotan. Sure, test them, but why skip better players? Why Cocis and not Mara? Why Nicolita as FW and not Stancu or Onofras? Why not Galamaz, especially as Goian is slightly injured...?

And Costea... Piti missed the boat so he got onto the next one, I think, but this one is much more rickety.

Where're Ghioane and Sepsi? They can handle it.

First of all, no Goian, the guy needs rest and he won't play 'gainst Serbia... so:

Lobont, Pantilimon OK

Although, Pantilimon showed against Steaua he's far from ready... Just compare him with a young Lobont.

Ogararu, Homei (since there's nobody else). If Gaman can make it so can he.

Sepsi, Panin (yeah, he worked his ass off)

4-2-3-1 is ineffective for us seemingly, we've to change that... But then again... eveything is... 4-1-?-? ****ed us against Lithuania.

Difference between Homei and Gaman is that Gaman uses to play game after game. Homei is the Blay reserve. The good thing about Panin is that he can play in both sides: right and left, a bit like P.Marin at Steaua.
Talking about RBs I liked the form of Mircea Stan at Arges, but I found out he´s 31 and he didn´t convince me in the game vs CFR. The age is just the problem for Bordeanu, the Urziceni LB. He´s 31 and it´s a pity because he´s inmense lately.

 

I've followed Stan closely and I must tell you that you're way off believing that he's a good choice for the NT... yeah he's technically sound and good upfront but he got ripped apart by the better wingers this season, even had to get subbed out once because he couldn't handle i forgot whom

Bordeanu has performed nicely but I dunno about his physical shape, he's pretty "fat" imo... Nicu on the other side seems a better choice to me

 

No, I don´t think Stan is a good choice for the NT. I said I liked his late performances but I´m not convinced by him.

 

btw. why is everybody praising Bourceanu in the media nowadays? I didn't even know him prior to this season

Piturca admited these days that he was close to call Dacian Varga from Sportul given the many players out.

Georgia has more foreigners than we....our midfield looks horrible!

 

With Cocis and Ropotan we have players without creative qualities again.

I think it´s time to consider Cocis a winger in the 4-3-3 formation and not a midfielder. But Piturca is stubborn with that. I have my doubts with Ropotan. He´s excellent in some things but terrible in others. And he´s not especially good with the ball.

I don´t know, maybe Costea and Marica can do something but I don´t see a good result tomorrow. Fortunately the result is not important this time.

 

all Ropotan can do is dribble on a high speed almost Bratu style and break legs... he's like a young Alexa with a worse defensive awareness

 

Lazar will have to be the playmaker. I really want him to do a good game so he earns a spot. We need someone like him there. Ropotan is just an emergency solution for the moment, Muresan, Radoi, Chivu, Codrea and Ovidiu Petre are above him.

I saw other formation with Bucur upfront, which would be nice but i´d prefer Costea to see if he can take advantage of his chance to prove he is worthy.

 

According to Prosport, Tames will start instead of Ropotan. Also, Piturca talked a lot with Costea and he wants him to do Mutu´s job.

I didn't know that Tames competes with Ropotan's position... Tames I thought would be more likely to replace C.Lazar...

Costea has to prove his worth... doing Mutu's jobs = being the main creative force upfront... I think he's too lazy to fill Mutu's shoes now

 

I hope that Lazar shows his true qualities at the NT... he needs confidence

 

It´s good that the coach talks a lot with Costea. He has to understand that he can do much more than he does. They have to work in his mentality.
