Actually it's not a U21 World Cup (don't think that actually exists) but the U21 Euro which is held every 2 years.

In any case beware of Belgium, they've got a dangerous team. Just look at results like

SCG 1-1 Belgium (our U21s only draw; we beat Spain at home)
Belgium 4-0 SCG
Spain 2-2 Belgium (for comparison, our U21s lost in Spain, 2-0)

I must admit I don't know much about your -21NT, but it is true that Ukrainian youth football has an excellent reputation here. I do know Milevskyi and Aliyev from the -20WC in Holland last summer. Certainly the first is one hell of a player I think. Are they part of the selection that will face Belgium?

 

Yes, they are... Aliev is a brilliant play-maker, who also scores lots of goals (usually more than attackers).. He's a midfielder btw...
Milevsky, on the other hand has a good technique, he dribbles well, great vision to set up a goal, but his only weakness is poor converting of his chances...
As a center striker, thats a big minus, but he still young and so can improve...

As for ur other question, id like to think that we do have a good and promising young players... They showed it this year in Holland where they were a bit unlucky to lose out to Nigeria, who later did REALLY well in the tournament...

Most of the U-21 players are from Dynamo Kyiv, some of them are playing in other clubs on loan though... In the recent games, I also noticed that a lot of Shakhtars youngsters were also called up and they paid devidents by securing the 2nd spot in the group which gave us a chance to play you in the play-off...

Well, according to his doctor he can still fight as long as he puts a tight bandage on his knee, but Klitchko simply refuses to go into this fight against Rahman (not the first time i should add)...

 

Nah..Klichko wanted to fight, from what I read, the doctor suggested a bandage, but he said it still wouldnt work and he couldnt move well enough....

Well, you have to take into consideration that some of those players like Chygrynsky, Oberemenko, Pukanych, Pivnenko, etc, are on loan from either Dynamo or Shakhtar...

I think what you meant, Kozak, was "hopefully it will rain and we'll have the advantage"... I always thought that in a rainy weather our players would do better against quality opposition than they would in a dry weather, mainly because in a rain its much harder to play attractive technical football...

BUT, i dont think it applies for our Youth team... I've seen our youngsters and technically they are as good as any other big European team... They can play at a very quick tempo, they can pass the ball one-touch, they usually dont play long ball (like our senior players) but short direct passes...

So, I'd say lets hope Mariupol knows how to support their team and become our "12th player"... Whatever some might say, loud and passionate support does help the players to push on and does have a negative effect on the opposition, especially with the U-21 players, who are still quite inexperienced and cant handle the noise and the pressure as well as their older counterparts...
