Well in a few months we will hate ours when you play Barcelona and whatnot for the centennial while we haven't. :irritate:
You are only 4 points behind.....seems like a piss in the Mississippi to me...;)

Talking of the Efes Cup, it shouldn't be taken lightly as a tournament. Fatih Terim was over the moon when he won it! It was the only trophy that represented his second stint as GS boss. Actaully I am surprised that he doesn't have a blown canvas picture of them lifting it placed next to his huge UEFA Cup one at home. Those two pictures would illustrate his coaching history perfectly.... 2000 - UEFA CUP and 4th Successive league title. 2004 Efes Cup... Nuff said...

Hope to catch a bit of this game if I'm not too caught up with the FA cup.

Most particularly to catch up with our old manager Bert van Marwijk. :proud: If there's a coach Sahin and the other Dortmund youngsters can learn from then it's him with his emphasis during trainings on players positional sense. If there's a thing the Dutch have a patent on in football, then it's this. This is what made AZ so strong last season despite having mainly journeymen in their team and idem ditto with Feyenoord when Bert van Marwijk was in charge of them. The ability of the players to find each other on the pitch without having to look. You could notice last season when that idiot Gullit was in charge how abysmal his trainings must have been as every game it looked like the players played with each for the first time, not to forget Gullit's idiotic buys like Cory Gibbs, Bruno Basto, Pascal Boschaart, Alexander Östlund etc etc.

I'll also be particularly interested to see how Ebi Smolarek is doing. Even though Gullit is an idiot for letting him go for next to nothing, no one would have ever dreamed of him scoring so many goals in the Bundesliga. Incredible how he's doing. Testimony of how clueless Gullit is by getting rid of a born and bred Feyenoorder & Rotterdammer like Smolarek by getting moneygrabbers who prefer to play for our reserves than to find a new club like Basto or Magrao.

All in all the best of luck to Bert van Marwijk who's doing a cracking job at Dortmund with absolutely no resources. If Gullit was there, he'd no doubt have started moaning about not being able to sign any players. Bert hasn't and has stuck to the task, blending in youth while looking for real bargains like Smolarek, Amoah, Buckley and another one to come, Steven Pienaar on a bosman in the summer.

Come on Wally...teams under Gullits management plays "sexy voetbal" :D. It is just as funny each time :D.

I am looking forward to this game, it will be great to watch Nuri vs Galatasaray players. I am hoping Ugur gets his chance tomorrow, and hopefully Yalcin gains some confidence since Song is going away to African Nations Cup. I think Orhan is injured or something so it looks promising for Ugur. I watched Mehmet Sedef play today for Besiktas and I think Ugur has far more potential than him even if Sedef did played that bad (I only watched the last 35 min.).

Dortmund has some good players in Kehl, Sahin, Kruska, Smolarek (impressive this year), Koller (injured or else he would have eaten us alive :D) and an extremely pacey winger called Odonkor. Their goalkeeper Weidenfelder was voted the best goalkeeper in Germany last year I think. And other good players in their squad are Metzelder and Dede.

By the way: Is Smolarek not polish??? At least he has chosen to play for them I think...

oh we could write a book about Gullits year at Feyenoord :D starting with how he walked in the first day saying that standards at Feyenoord had to go up to the day he blamed his captain for a lost game to another one where he blamed Romeo Castelen for not being professional for not playing with the right studs straight after a game to the day he praised Sebastian Pardo as the revalation of a pre-season tournament at Gran Canaria to only use him like once in the whole season and in the wrong position too, using him as a DM when he's like the most fragile player out there and an AMC to the day when he said he didn't realize (even though he claimed he was a Feyenoord fan) thatFeyenoord wasn't as rich as he thought when he attempted to bring over Dario Simic and Nicola Legrottalia from Serie A. And this is only a fraction of his best moments :wallbang:

Yeah he's Polish. His dad, Wlodi, also a Polish international, however played for Feyenoord in the late 80s and settled in Holland after and that's how Ebi joined up with Feyenoord as a youngster.
