Your rant is just a continuation of your previous negative attitude dude. It's your opinion but I'm finding it quite unfounded. Terim certainly made mistakes but also made good choices. We were all damning Sukur and Ergun untill the end, but look at what they did in the end. We were UNLUCKY not to go through. You're accusing him of making excuses but he already apologized to everyone for not going through so he is not moving away from the responsiblity. It's very simple to attack someone in the end after they fail but not very sporty man.

I wonder, if Yanal failed would you would have reacted in the same way? And Lucescu at the team? You must be joking? Asides Yanal who could work with the team?

BTW Terim not only has the task to lead the team but he also has the task to find and build something for the future. I see no other than Terim fit for this task. So he's important for us in the long term and I hope to see he sticks to the national team in another role after he resigns the coaching role. Terim is a treasure for Turkish football.

Hi everyone:
My first post after a while..Just a couple of things..

1-We need to stop making a scapegoat out of Terim and Hakan Sukur-they both did well, especially Hakan-he played really well yesterday-all our players did and they made us proud..

2-The Swiss DİD have the referees on their side in both games, two clear penalties were overlooked and that would've made the difference...

3-The Swiss did know how to provoke us and we fell for it-remember how provocative they were during the first game as well, and they kept on bringing up the Stereotypes against Turks-a very cheap way to do things if you ask me...

4-To those criticizing our players and our team-seriously, the Swiss had the refs support on their side and they lobbied well..İn that regard i find the current federation and our sports minister to be extremely weak and expect their resignations..Even Haluk Ulusoy did 10times better in terms of lobbying for Turkish interests..

Last but not least-our team is way better than this pathetic Swiss team-but they managed to scrape by with some help, so I wont congratulate them.

oh-BTW, the swiss player that went to the hospital ended up having nothing...theyt played it very smart and even while leaving tried to agitate and provoke us-what abunch of...

dun worry guys, France also didnt make it to Italia90 and USA94. I guess ZZ was their key to success, and i am quite optimistic that Nuri will be be guilding success to Euro2008, where we'll kick some swiss cheesw arse!

Had he been given a chance to fail, then I'd say "he failed, he couldn't do it, it's time for a change"..

This is international football, not a throne for Terim to sit on and stroke his ego. He failed, he's out, that's how it is everywhere else and how it should be here..

Infact, the question really should be how all of you Terimci's would react had it not been Terim. There's an alarming number of posters here, and Turkish people in general, who put blind trust in Terim and back up his words no matter what he says.. Truly sad..

There's a video of it floating around too..

Watching the FULL video, Sifo Mehmet makes contact with another Swiss player, then that idiot reacts with that full-blooded swing, and then our famous village idiot Alpay does his thing and it's all on..

can you give a link?

Turkey played a very good game, but some refereeing desicions and a ****ed-up performance by Alpay,Tolga and Volkan cost plus Selcuk was shit aswell.Insallah we will make it to EURO2008, but my sorrow is that Basturk will be 30 and Emre will be 28. Sadly, these players have not gotten a chance to show-themselves on the world-stage. Also I feel sorry for Tuncay and the Altintops; these guys are worl-beaters but sadly they have'nt gotten a chance to even show themselves to the world.Plus, I dunno how Nuri and THE ALTINTOPS will be feeling rite now aswell, coz they ditched the bitch to play for us. All in all i can say that our performance on wednesday made me really proud. Forza Turkiye!

nuri has lost the chance to be perhaps at 5 world cups, but that's not too tragical i think. they all can show the world what they got in the european competitions and the EC 2008/WC2010. we shouldn't be too pessimistic right now.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has called a 1030 GMT news conference to address incidents at the end of the World Cup tie between Switzerland and Turkey.

Switzerland reached the finals despite a 4-2 defeat on the night, winning on aggregate 4-4 on the away goals rule.

But the game was marred by violence as the players clashed in the tunnel and reports said Swiss defender Stephane Grichting was taken to hospital.

"Something is going wrong. I've never seen anything like it," said Blatter.

Switzerland launched an official complaint to Fifa after the match, which will be heard on 9 December.

Tuncay Sanli scored a hat-trick for the Turks, who finished third in the 2002 World Cup, but Marco Streller's 84th-minute goal put the Swiss through.

However, the match ended with tempers fraying and television footage showed Benjamin Huggel kick a member of the Turkish coaching staff as he ran off the pitch.

Then, former Aston Villa defender Alpay aimed a kick at Streller as the goalscorer went down the tunnel towards the dressing rooms and the trouble erupted.

According to reports, Grichting was taken to Istanbul's Acidem Hospital after being kicked in the groin.

However, Turkey striker Halil Altintop, who plays for Kaiserslautern, played down the clashes.

"A few of our players overreacted after the match but I am happy there were no serious incidents," he said.

"I was in the Swiss locker room and talked to the players I knew from the Bundesliga. They said everything was fine."
So, we'll soon find out whats gonna happen.

I can't believe BBC are blaming us.

I think you should read this again. It's quite objective to me
