Well we've been relying on home games for points this season, we could do with another 3 here, because Reading away a week on saturday, is almost a certain defeat, if we lose 3 on the trot, we can all of a sudden be right back in the s'hit.

We can match any team at home as we've proved against all the "top" sides in this division this season, so we should definately be getting something out of the game...probably another draw too go with the ones against Reading, Leeds and Preston I think though.

Blo ody hell jimbo, what were you thinking of mate. I think we have got to be aiming of at least not losing at home for the rest of the current campaign, so we should be aiming for a win vs Palace at home. I know there flying at the moment, but so were Reading when they came to Pride Park on new year's eve

They didn't really wow me if I'm being honest, and this could be the same with Palace. I would say we must look at for Andy Johnson, as he has his scoring boots on at the moment. If we play well, we will win the game me thinks

We didn't beat Reading though did we, or Leeds, Shef Utd, Watford or Preston.

Oh and if Marco Reich plays I guarantee he scores.

For the first time in a long time, there's no protest plans for after this home game :eekani:

The thinking being we've got our point across and now the right decision should be made...if the wrong decision is made, to quote the Rams Protest Group "all hell will break loose" :howler:

#7 ·
Well I think the board know the score concerning the fans, We want them out ASAP but I think the Rams Protest Group did its job, in "hopefully" removing the board from our club

#8 ·
I'm sure there will still be a bit of chanting sack the board during the game, as well.

#9 ·
A prediction then...I'm going for 1-1, I definately fancy some kind of draw.

I'm hearing that Darren Moore is out of this one :wallbang: as is Hajto.

So who plays centre back?

Jeff Kenna?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we're DOOMED!!!

#11 ·
I would have anyone out of the academy rather than Jeffery there!!!!!!

Marco Reich will probably start on the bench.Dowie seems to prefer Tom Soares for some reason.
If your lot score first you'll win,If we score first you'll still win, remember 2 seasons back :lala:

So, did you get Horsefield on loan or not, that git always scores against us :irritate:

Not :(

If we score first, we may well win, we are good at home, that's what's keeping us up,a s we're shocking away.

But as I've already said, if Jeff Kenna plays centre back we're doomed, last time he played there Coventry banged 6 in, Andy Johnson will think, it's christmas and his birthday rolled into one :wallbang:

I wonder if Edworhy or Jackson can play centre back?

Why is it when we get injuries it seems to be all at the same position, 3 centre backs out at the same time :wallbang:

Hmmmm just been on therams.co.uk and it says, Richard Jackson replaces Marc Edworthy as tjhe only change to the side, Moore must be playing with the injury (he's been injured for weeks) probably a good decision, Jackson is good at marking wingers, better than Edworthy at that job, I have renewed confidence now :D

Thinking about, you really should play Reich, ex players always, and i mean always score past us, even s'hit ones like Stern John, who scored not just 1 but 2 :wallbang:

Tom Huddlestone gets his first and so far only goal against us, players who rarely score like Kevin Cooper as well.

Get him on the pitch, he's certain too score, I'm tempted to put a few quid on it...can't be arsed 2 walk too the bookies though.

For me not only the best result of the season, the best game of the season as well. It was a great game, end to end stuff all game, with countless chances for both sides, absolutely amazing to snatch it at the end, a bit hard on Palace, but never mind :D

Thought Smith was amazing, probably our best player, Camp had a nightmare, fumbleing everything, but some bad finishing and last ditch defending, saved us.

A good atmosphere as well, especially after we went 2-1 up, some of us went a bit on the mental side :embarass: and unbelieveably the whole North Stand started giving it the EASY! EASY! EASY! then the WHOLE east stand joined in, and even the whole of the west stand, so all 3 home stand were all doing it together, it was ana mazing sight.

Definately the best game of the season

Sounded like a great game on the radio. It seems the game turned on Dowie subbing Aki and bringing on Marco Reich,up to that point in the 2nd half it seemed as if it was all Palace. After Aki went off we couldn't get the ball
What did I tell you, exactly the same as 2 years ago :irritate:

sh***t.

After all the hardwork and planning that brought u to the brink of league 1, u are spoiling it all with some narrow home wins, shame on u.

Funny, some of the local media saying it was all Derby all game long nearly...

Was a very even game IMO, we got through 4 times one on one and that c'unt Kiraly kept pulling out the saves, and you had a few sitters after Camp kept flapping at everything, someone hit a cracking left foot volley, McAnuff I think, that hit the post, that would have been some goal.

Player Ratings

Lee Camp - 5 - kept flapping and dropping everything, but apart from once got away with it, because he some how managed to keep everything out, I'll let him off with a 5, it could have been worse.

Richard Jackson - 7 - Superb 100% commited defending as always, still clueless going forward though, which is his downfalla s a player.

Alan Wright - 7 - Legend! Gets stuck in, no matter the size of the opposition, good on the ball, and gets forward well, and too the byline, nearly scored with a cross shot early on.

Darren Moore - 8 -Andy Johnson didn't have a sniff, even when he didn't have the ball Moore just walked into him and put him on his arse, which was hilarious, he also picked Clinton Morrison off the floor like he was a toddler, the guys as strong as an ox.

Lewin Nyatanga - 7 - Another assured performance from the youngster, him and Moore look solid at the back.

Michael Macindoe - 7 - Not a great game, but not too bad either, too many people think he's some sort of speedy left winger, he's more of a Joe Cole type player, he passes the ball around, not head down and run too the corner, nothing really came off in the final third though.

Giles Barnes - 7 - Had a great chance when clean through, but a poor touch gifted the ball too Kiraly, full of energy and always on the move.

Inigo Idiakez - 9 - Scored the 2 goals, first one an awesome 20 yard curling strike with the left foot into the corner, and then the rebound from the penalty, also had a chance clean through, hit it early with the left foot and Kiraly made a good save, still awesome when on form, needs to start doing away from home again.

Adam Bolder - 8 - Sits deep breaking the play up now, and it's what he's best out, spreads the ball well too, having his best run in the side and is the engine room, whic drives us forward.

Tommy Smith - 9 - Thought he was superb, running down the right beating players, getting the ball in the box, had a great chance in the first half which, only just went wide.

Kevin Lisbie - 8 -Showing Danny Graham & Stern John how its done, he doesn't really look like the typr of player suited as a lone striker, but he does the job very well, he's got a great touch which helps, and he holds the ball up, by running with it, beating a defender or 2, then making the pass or having a shot, got through a couplee of times, and was denied by Kiraly (who despite wearing his pyjamas had a great game for Palace) deserved a goal for his performance, I wonder if we could sign him for next season.

Don't think we made any...

A fantastic performance from the lads, well derserved from the radio commentary, if we can perform like that on a regular basis next year, and pick up the away form we could be going places!!!
