Filipe is the right person to talk about him, like i said for me he is a average player, was great in the brazilian league but not in the french or portuguese league but since the turkish league is less strong than this two maybe he will do well in Turkey....he is not to skillful for a Brazilian player,he is more a man area,a goal scorer, not too fast also.He can not play alone in front, that will be a waste realy,he needs to play with someone at his side.

Well i don't know but our official website only tells the truth. They don't just write anything.

Plus, yes we do need Deivid. Anelka has gone so as of now we only have 1 striker if you don't include Kezman & Deivid De Sousa.

It is reported that he will come either tommorow or Monday to FB.

I don't know. Thats pretty wierd that there hasn't been anything in Portugal's media. Will he play today 100%?

Whats the line-up for todays match?

I don't believe he is going to Fenerbahce. The squad is closed as far as our board is concerned and only a huge amount of money would take him away.
It's a fact that there were no rumours whatsoever regarding this transfer and if it would happen it would be the first time ever that a transfer involving a Sporting player is not shouted about on our very indiscreet sports media.

The only rumour I have read today was also involving a Turkish team (Galatasaray) and one of our players (CustĂłdio) but that one is even less probable. CustĂłdio will not leave now, not even for a lot of money.

Wow. That is very strange.

I don't know why our official website would say this if it isn't true. :googly:

maybe it isn't totally untrue, it happens here often with Benfica...imagine fener made a offer to sporting and a fener director maybe excited with the possibility of the transaction shouted to Anatolian and Istanbul media...as the player was already signed

If our official site reports it, it's about as official as it can be. We've been through similar "is he or isn't he?" scenarios with Alex, Anelka, Lugano and a few others, and in the end our official website has a 100% track record..

About the lack of media attention, well, until yesterday morning there wasn't ever a single rumour about Mateja Kezman, but later the same day the reports came out and within minutes he was on our TV channel (FBTV) confirming that he'd signed for us (and also that he'd be joined by Deivid ;))..

I'm happy you have such blind faith on your official website...we shall see if the 100% record will become 99.8% soon...or not.

About the media attention I was talking about the Portuguese one and not the Turkish which obviously I do not know at all.

OT: your avatar is an insult to the memory of 'El Comandante' :howler

With the Kezman example, no countries media picked up on it. Not the Turkish, Serbian, Spanish or anyone else..

The only thing that strikes me as odd in all of this is that our club is basically disrespecting Sporting by announcing the transfer a day before a match. We signed Lugano a month before the Libertadores final, but didn't announce it (by the club's admission) because it would be disrespectful to SĂŁo Paulo..

Anyway, are you going to tell us what type of player he is or not? :pp

P.S - As for the avatar, IMO the original becoming the marketing tool it is today is what's an insult to his memory. I consider mine taking the piss out of Mourinho, and the people who wear Che's face on shirts & other products without knowing the first thing about him :D

Yes, you're right. It's not exactly a gentleman-like approach from Fenerli's board...not exactly an incentive for a recent fan like me, isn't it?

OK, so here it goes.
IMO Deivid is not a great player but quite an average striker. He is a bit of a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hide character that alternates games where he shows a good fighting spirit and some solid presence in the box with a streak of dull performances. Unfortunately for us I think he's been showing his Hide side a bit too often lately which leads me to think that if we actually sell him it is not really a great loss for us.
Having said this when he is up for it he can be quite good and as all Brazilians he as a good touch although he loses very much when compared to our magnificent Prince of Bahia, Liedson :D

Yes, you are right. It is quite funny and you're also right that the true insult is the whole merchandising around the Che.

This is realy realy weird....nothing in the portuguese press so far.

#25 ·
well this is weird we'll see...

turkish media is such bullshit that the official website is the only thing us fans can rely on, it has never posted anything until it was official, so I'm thinking he'll come.
