What about Besiktas' involvement, warabee?

You blatantly must have lost to Fenerbahce on purpose since you took the lead. And then after losing to a last minute goal to Trabzonspor, made public announcements that the referees should have awarded Trabzonspor the victory much earlier than that.

Wish "everybody's doing, nothing happens."

Don't pretend. I'm not interested in who did what to which team. Whether one team or several teams gets points deducted and whether they can enter competitions (domestic and European) in the coming season. Again, in a few days all may be released, with no consequences.

Sorry for those who like the full and proper translations, but this one is difficult to translate in context. In summary, the board has put out a statement saying that many officials from many clubs have been put under investigation, and that whilst stating their belief in justice and whatnot they hope for the investigations to conclude sooner rather than later so the truths can be published. They also state that the club has never and will never be a part of such unlawful matters.

Well this is interesting.

Nearly 30 people were detained in the operation, including Fenerbahçe Vice President Şekip Mosturoğlu, Fenerbahçe's new transfers Sezer Öztürk and Emenike, and Sivasspor Club President Mecnun Odyakmaz.

Police also conducted searches at Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor headquarters, broadcaster CNNTürk reported.

Let's see what happens

Very funny... 0_o

The media and rival fans are making the most out of this, and if nothing materialises, we all know Fenerbahce's characteristic - this will only make us stronger in the end.

You do realize that this has nothing to do with the Federation right? This is being carried out by the Ministry of Justice, under the control of a Prime Minister who is a Fenerbahce supporter? I'm not saying that Fenerbahce is guilty of anything (I firmly believe in the principle of innocent until proven guilty), however, I do believe everybody should refrain from making hot headed judgements and wait and see where this whole thing goes.

It would be for the betterment of the league and turkish football in general if nothing does come out of this. That being said, if parties are found guilty of serious crimes, they should be punished. Nothing is concrete yet, so we'll just have to wait and see. Also, I don't think these investigations are limited to Fener, it would probably be better if we opened a separate thread in the league section to discuss this.

Someone already opened a thread, however it's an AZIZ YILDIRIM !!! thread, like all the articles going around.

I bet some second division team is slapped on the wrist at the end of it all.

As for the betterment of the league, if guilty, charge them. If not, the whole "investigation" is going to do no good to anyone.

If nothing even comes up out of this, it is still a very good thing for the coming season: No one even can try f...around...
We just finished a season, winner and loser is seperated by a goal, even the very minor detail is important.
Personally, I think we had witnessed intersting 5-6 games in the end of last season, witnessed very weird situation.
If someting comes up out of this, it would be fantastic!!!
Not only for us TS, but for Turkish soccer.
To be honest, I am worry about us getting f...ed too.
Our show-off baskan, Sener, might have do/say someting which might get us in trouble too.
Wouldn't that be funny if Bursa gets the title in the end.
I wouldn't care, if it was a result of proper investigation and good evidence/.
I hate people with criminal minds.

Top officials arrested in Turkey match-fixing probe
(AFP) – 9 hours ago

ISTANBUL — Turkish police have arrested around 40 people, including the president of top side Fenerbahce as part of an ongoing investigation into match-fixing last season, the Anatolia news agency reported on Sunday.

Aziz Yildirim was taken into custody early Sunday along with the club's vice-president Sekip Mosturoglu and financial chief Tamar Yelkovan.
Two Fenerbahce players -- Nigerian striker Emmanuel Emenike and forward Sezer Öztürk -- were also detained

Other top flight clubs were involved in the corruption swoop including Trabzonspor in the northeast, but the club's vice-president Nevzat Sakar denied that he had been arrested as reported earlier by Anatolia.
Several footballers were also among those arrested in Ankara including Gençlerbirligi striker Serkan Calik and Ankaragücü goalkeeper Serdar Kulbilge, both Turkish international players.

The agency also said that a police search was under way at the headquarters of Fenerbahçe, the reigning champions of Turkey, who also reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2008.
Arrests linked to the investigation also took place in the central town of Sivas where the president of Sivasspor, Mecnun Odyakmaz was taken in for questioning and at Izmir in the west where the cousin of Fenerbahçe midfielder Emre Belözoglu was being held, Mersin and Giresun.

Fenerbahce board chairman Yuksel Gunay slammed the detention of Yildirim, a building construction businessman who has been president of the club since 1998.

"It is quite clearly just the manifestation of a police state," he said. "Just which matches are they considering investigating?"
A statement from Fenerbahce said: "Never in the history of our club, which is full of honours won, have we been implicated in any illegal acts and we never will be.

Fenerbahce clinched the league title on the final day last season by defeating Sivasspor 4-3 in Trabzonspor.

The match-fixing investigation led to many arrests last year but this was the first time such high-level officials have been taken into custody.

BBC:

The president of leading Turkish football club Fenerbahce is one of about 30 people who have been arrested in an investigation into match-fixing, Turkey's state media have said.

Aziz Yildirim was held on Sunday, along with his vice-president, the vice-president of Trabzonspor and an official from Eskisehirspor.

Several footballers were also arrested, including at least two Turkish internationals.

Police are searching Fenerbahce's HQ.

League matches
The state-run Anatolia news agency named some of those arrested along with Mr Yildirim, including Fenerbahce Vice-President Sekip Mosturoglu, the technical director of Eskisehirspor, Umit Karan, and Vice-President of Trabzonspor, Nevzat Sakar.

Two of the footballers it named were Genclerbirligi striker Serkan Calik and Ankaragucu goalkeeper Serdar Kulbilge.

The agency said that raids had taken place simultaneously in 12 cities.

Istanbul-based Fenerbahce are the reigning Turkish league champions.

The NTV television station said police were investigating alleged match-fixing in last season's league competition.

Associated Press quoted the Dogan news agency as saying the final league game of the season - a 4-3 victory by Fenerbahce over Sivasspor - was one of the matches under investigation.

A number of arrests into match-fixing were made last year but these are by far the highest-profile arrests, the Agence France-Presse news agency reports.
