Always a mystery to me how Panucci has always been picked for top clubs and the international team during his career. He ain't that good.
Yes he is. Or was, rather. He had a great last season, but I just can't believe he has enough left in him not to make that his swan song. He'll fade to black soon. And no wonder! For almost a decade and a half he's played for Europe's two finest clubs, and hopped around some more than respectable clubs before he landed in Rome, and he's played for Europe's best national team more than 50 times. I'd say he's more underrated than overrated, people forget he was an automatic starter for Milan and Madrid...doesn't get any bigger than that.

I was unfair on Curci before the game. I'm still not sold on his future greatness, but he did really well tonight, he deserves the recognition.

PS. It's not an option now with Taddei out, but for some games, Giuly into the middle to get a better finisher in those situations? Perrotta's killing me, I love him to death and think he's vital...but he's costing us by missing chances like this week in and week out. Frustration.

Dean, to be fair to Vucinic, he didn't get that many opportunities to demonstrate any calmness in the final third. I think he's doing very well for what he's asked to do, which isn't traditional forward play. I still believe he can come good for us and be a great investment.
