Time for the kids!

I think we can expect starts for Fabianski, Hoyte, possibly Traore and Gibbs on the left, in the middle Diarra should start and up front Bendtner will play possibly with Eduardo? Keep Adebayor and van Persie fresh for West Ham?

For the prediction league I've just pasted our entire reserves team, same for Newcastle although I imagine Fat Sam will play mostly first teamers.

Big Sam will play his best team avaliable. At this point Newcastle getting any piece of silverware will be considered fantastic by their fans. I'd start Bendtner and Eduardo up front, Diarra with Denilson in the middle and also Hoyte and Traore at either full back positions.

task of great difficulity for this arsenal team, but I think 2-0 is good

I probably have unrealistic expectations of the kids. Of course they're the underdogs, still they've done it in the past and I imagine I'd be disappointed if they fell at this hurdle.

Still, not good to think like this. No matter what, it will be a great experience for some of them.

dont risk rvp for this one!! we need him for our real games.

carling cup is purely for kids, putting in seniors such as RVP is plain silly.

i want to see something liek this

----------------fabianski---------------
--hoyte---nordveit---senderos----traore--
----------diarra---denilson------------
--walcott------------------------diaby? (maybe not risk such a player)
----------bendtner--------eduardo?----

somehting like that.. give or take diaby and eduardo.
hopefully we see more youngsters develop.

believe it or not, owen and dukes been starting for newcastle in the last few games, with martins and ameobi on bench.

we should really watch out for dukes and n'zogbia. dukes can really hold up the ball and uses his body well and zogbia can be dangerous. i'm sure our LB or RB will take care of them.

i find it funny how fat sam says big clubs should regret not taking owen as a risk. sure he's scoreed a few goals but he's bloody injury prone. whose laughing now fat sam?

i'm not really fussed over winning this game, its only the piss cup. we have bigger fish to fry so this is considered an insignificant game

Bendtner, Diarra, Fabianski set for Carling Cup start

By Richard Clarke

Arsène Wenger will ring the usual changes for the Carling Cup tie with Newcastle at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.

The Arsenal manager will rest almost all of his first-team regulars to allow squad players and youngsters to hog the limelight. It is a policy he has used with some success in recent years. In three of the last four seasons his side have reached the Semi-Final and, of course, last season they were just pipped to the trophy by a full-strength Chelsea at the Millennium Stadium.

“You will see Bendtner, Diarra and Denilson,” Wenger told Arsenal TV Online when asked about the make-up of the squad. “Maybe Eboue (ankle) will be coming back as well.

“You’ll see Justin Hoyte and Alex Song maybe Eduardo and Diaby. Then there is Armand Traore and Lukasz Fabianski who we have not seen a lot of so far. We have sold out and we will put out a good team. We want to give the opportunity to our fans to see some unfamiliar faces.”

If they play this would be the first start for Diarra and Bendtner while Fabianski would be making his debut.

Arsenal.com will announce the full squad on Tuesday.

That morning, Arsenal TV Online subscribers will be able to see the full video interview. In it Arsène Wenger talks about: the financial results, spending money, the strategic importance of the Carling Cup, the case for playing Nicklas Bendtner, in defence of Alex Song, Lukasz Fabianski and Newcastle.

Fabianski

Hoyte - Sendo - ? - Traore

Eboue - Denilson - Song - Diaby

Bendtner - Eduardo

--------------------------------------------

Surely Kolo is getting a rest, so I am not sure who will partner Senderos in defense. I've love to see Nordveit.

toure will play, the guy plays every f-in game he is a beast!
yeh he plays every important game
Carling Cup isnt worth any good players getting injured imo.. winning the trophy doesnt really prove much.. unless you're like arsenal who bring in a reserve side and get into the finals :)
