I wonder why Miguel gets such a hard time on here, despite being fat and all, the guy is clearly one of the most hardworking players we have. Yes, his crossing and finishing might be off at times, but his dedication to go that far up the pitch and back, shouldn't be questioned.

 

HE SHOULD BE A FCUKING DEFENDER FIRST! Defense is required to win games. Everyone needs to stop thinking attack attack attack. Miguel and Mathieu both bombing forward, with Marchena at center back? And Albelda or Baraja covering for him? Scary shit.

Start Bruno, that way Mathieu can attack. Bruno is much better at choosing his moments to attack. Miguel is a defender who can't defend, or pass, or cross, or dribble. He can run, that's it.

 

Defense was our problem last year, not attack. Ever and Manelele in midfield (niether has discipline), with Bruno and Mathieu playing next to Pablo and Mata, with Marchena being the last line of defense is ridiculous. We did the exact same thing last year, remember everyone? Except it was Moretti, not Mathieu. And now everyone (except Blaz, not sure about anyone else) wants Emana, who won't defend either. WTF...

 

Miguel defends well when he's in position imo, it's just that he's caught out of position at times cause of constant attacking. I bet he's asked by Emery to keep doing that and a proof of that is Emiliano Morreti suddenly became a wing back under Emery when he previously used to be scared of the halfway line p

I've said we should sign Apono instead of Emana because one is a CM and the other isn't. Unless we keep Ever, then I'd prefer Emana to play backup to Silva or even start with Villa while Silva is moved to the right wing, if Pablo is injured or the right wingers are off-form again.
