Couple of seasons ago it was Rivaldo's.Nowadays...don't know.Recoba is too inconsistent to be taken seriously.

Recoba, but Laurent Robert also deserves a mention. Probably the best left foot in the premiership.

 

yeah definately, robert has a wicked shot on him. Giggs and carlos may need a mention also. not so much these days, but a few years back they were very good.

 

Ryan Giggs would be in the top five. Reyes has a mean left foot, pish right foot and Ashley Cole can deliver inch perfect crosses with his left foot ...

... but Recoba's is nuts.

Those of you have said Recoba are completly bonkers. The best left foot is between Vicente, Duff and Adriano without question.

Adriano... Recoba has a completely inconsistent left foot. His FK's and corners are about 30% of the time quite shabby. While his crosses also dont reach its target alot.

 

And all of you respectfully feel that you know a lot abt football.

The best left foot in footie, arguably ever, should be Maradona's left foot. He even has the best left hand ever in football.

Although his prime is long gone, Sinisha Mihajlovic has the best left foot!

Well, did you ever notice that everyone else is mentioning players that are currently active?

The thread isn't called, "Best left foot in football EVER?"

Is it my fault that the thread starter was not specific? The fact everybody has mentioned current left-footed players doesn't necessarily mean that they did not forget Maradona, or they understood what the thread starter meant by the title of this thread. Reading his first post, one cannot discern if he meant today or ever, but from the way he said it, and also from the way many here has responded, it sounded a bit like they have forgotten the good left footers in the old days.

If he's referring to current players, I don't see anyone better than the not-so-current Alijasa Asanovic of Croatia. He takes as much free kicks as Mihajlovic does, but also plays as a central midfield ball-passer/playmaker. He had more opportunites to show what he can do with that left foot than Mihajlovic.

 

asanovic is still playing? where and how old is he now, i'm guessing at least 38??

forgot about Rivaldo, surely he hasn't declined that much, he still takes the free-kicks for Olympiakos, i don't think we should write him off just yet, he still may prove he is the best.

Harry Kewell has a terrific left foot, shame he's playying so badly at the moment.
