This is no doubt my favourite offensive player . He is definitely the next '' Maradona '' and will definitely surpass the likes of Aimar , Riquelme and Veron . He is extremely fast , has quick feets and packs a mean freekick , he has been linked to Barca and Lazio but with Barca wanting Riquelme and Mendieta , there is no way they can afford D'alessandro given the world's economy .

D'Alessandro and the Spanish League is a match made in heaven, he'll be just as good or better than Pablo Aimar in a few more years. Barcelona should have bought him instead of Riquelme.
Even though rumours say that Riquelme was voted by "someone" as South American Player of the Year twice?

He is not the next Maradona. If he was indeed the next Maradona then his team would be winning a rather weak Argie championship, and they are second(or third). And they did not win Libertadores. Players like Maradona, Zico, Pele, etc. win those by themselves.

Football has evolved since Maradona's and Zico's time, it is much more team oriented today, so even though D'Alessandro is a brilliant player the way football is played and the tactics that are used go more towards a team effort and away from just one indivdual.

The Argie league is actually tough..

I beg to differ my friend . A game is won with 11 players not with only 1 player . Are you trying to say if you put Maradona in Napoli and play against Real Madrid , they will win ? D'alessandro is a much more improved player than Maradona , he has all the skills needed of becoming the next Maradona

D'Alessandro is 20/21, when Maradona was at that age he was better than him by far. I don't think even the Argies compare him to Maradona.

Yep, but a player can still win games. I have seen D'Alessandro play and I think that, although he is a great player, he is not one of the best. I actually think that Aimar is better, but that is my opinion.
Anyway, the Argies league is not really tought, I actuallly find the brazilian league harder and I still think that our league is pure crap.

future talent

Di Natale and and other youngsters have already made a name for themselves this season in Serie A, but there is 1 prostpect that has been overlooked, particually by Claudio Gentile, Italia's under 21's coach: Giandomenico Mesto, the Reggina right midfielder caught the eye of Reggina scouts at a young age and now at the age of 20, has played in the coppa Italia and 5 Serie A matches thus far (starting 2 of them).

Mesto, remember the name, because in a few years you'll hear it all the time

Reggina is a good team and I can't believe how poorly placed they are . That is so unjustified , they should be at the top half of the table . When you guys faced us ( Lazio ) , I was very worried that we will lose , because of the quality Reggina possess .

you cant say that, give that Maradona played in the top league in the world (at that time) and played in World Cups, D'Allessandro has only played in the Argie league

D'alessandro is for sure a real talent but we can only find out whether he will match Maradona's success when he joins the top club very soon . In my eyes , I think he is a fantastic player , creating goals and scoring them .

The entire world knows that Andres D'Alessandro is one of the most talented youngsters on the planet. I am not dissing you or anything. But it takes more than this unproven Kid to be compared to the great Argentine. If Andres heard that someone actually said

D'alessandro is a much more improved player than Maradona ,
even he would laugh at that. Maradona is the greatest of all time.

Always Nazionale, I don't mean to sound offensive but D'Alessandro will never be as good as Maradona. Maradona at the age of 20 impressed me much more than D'Alessandro does today, and if D'Alessandro was as good as Maradona, his team would be top in a so-so Argentinian championship. IMO Riquelme was much more influencial, and he was tipped as the next Maradona, and we all know how that is not true. Saviola was the best player in the U20 championship, not D'Alessandro, and he was also tipped to be the next Maradona and IMO he is not even the next Romario.
So let's wait and see, but I doubt that he will be as good as Maradona.

Like the respectable ENDR37, I am not trying to start an argument with you. To save you from future arguments, I'd advice you to restrian yourself from making comaprisons between players who have not proved anything yet to players who have lightened up the game with thier brilliance. You have to remeber that thier are some athletes who can, not only raise thier own game but also the game of thier teammates, the hope of the fans, the nation and even the sport itself to new hieghts. Maradona was such an athelete.
