Despite all the Oil money in the Premier...

Kaka
Cristiano Ronaldo
Ibrahimovic
Ribéry

...all of them are on their way to Spain..

Only adding to the crop of star players like Messi, Robben, Iniesta, Henry, Daniel Alves and Xavi.

Why do the worlds star players not go to Premiership? Is it because the football is ugly?

It wont improve the overall quality of the spanish league tho, just making the gap from the big two to the other even bigger. The league overall will still only be 3rd best in terms of overall quality.

Serie A is officially dead in terms of big teams to take serious in the CL though, their two biggest stars leaving, only old man Totti remains. The league should be very competitive next season tho, as the mid/lower teams will improve much more than the "big" teams.

We are actually.
I'm not one of them. And I'm not bashing La Liga...just stating facts about Valencia. Not the place, I'm talking about the minnow club.
:howler:

Nasher, this isn't cause of Marchena. This is cause Villa>Ibra.

Serie A was kind of turning into a Portuguese league before Calciopoli - two world class teams signing world class TV/Sponsorship deals, etc... with Inter not that far behind.

With Calciopoli and possibly the new collective Tv-deals, the top halted and the league is evening out.

La Liga, meanwhile, is ludacrisly divided in every way - RM/Barca vs the rest.

Spanish league really is not that good, look at Real they were comfortably second and I dare to say that there current squad is crap. Juventus, Inter, Roma, Milan>Real.

The beauty of the game is higher in Spain and the quality of the lower teams was once great too, but I think it is not anymore. Real made an incredibly long winning streak with a really poor team, I doubt that that they could do the same in Serie A.

A windup thread, and yet,,,, It seems many Serie A fans here feel so insecure about their league they need to bash La Liga.

Friends? :proud:

You're right. But I didn't expect that most people would have heard of Lucchese. Btw, Blaz, I love you so don't hurt my feelings.

I'm going out for drinks...and I'm planning to take a cab home after that. Thanks for your concern though, buddy.

For the record, I don't go to bed with "tripe".

La Liga (like Serie A) was sh!t this year so hopefully it does get more world stars. Yes Barca won the CL, but generally the league was poor to watch. Barca eating up teams for fun every game. Real madrid, yes this joke of a Real Madrid this season won some insane amount of games in a row.

Indeed, what I find hilarious is the Barca fans who currently praise La Liga are the same people who keep calling Madrid a shit team, when that so called shit team comfortably finished 2nd - eventhough they friggin lost their last FIVE games in a row. Hilarious how a team can maintain their league position despite dropping 15 points, some competitiveness that is.. If Real Madrid are 'shit' then the league can't be that good, no?

English football is clearly #1, while I don't think the gap between Spanish and Italian football is big, if any at all (Barca aside, of course - but one team doesn't make a league).

After all we saw Sevilla getting knocked out by Sampdoria (who had a bad season in the league, mind) and Juve owning Real not once but twice. That despite Sevilla and Madrid spending more than Sampdoria and Juve respectively.

let's not insult one league just to make the other one look good

Serie A's overall quality is probably better than La Liga...but since Barca plays in the Spanish League, it probably balances out..
although VIllarreal, Valencia, Sevilla Atletico aren't shaggy teams...just that most of them had a bad year, coincidently at the same time....u can pick out at least 1 super star player from the top 6 La Liga Teams...
though the same thing can be said about Serie A (IF you consider the likes of Milito, Zarate, Lavezzi, DI Natale, Hamsik, Mutu, Cassano, Pandev superstars...welll, at least semi-super star...or star at the very least)

:howler: Yeah, good one, coming from you.

Yeah, but then they have Valencia...completely neutralises Barça with their homosexual theatrics...in terms of football.

La Liga plays the best football in terms of beauty, with the best team in the World at the moment, Fc barcelona. Few will argue with that.

The Premierhsip plays the fastest, and right now the most effective - and therefore the best football in Europe. Few will argue with that either.

The Serie A is the most tactical, and right now is in a rebuild period, where the huge stars are leaving and the vast talent of young stars will surface. At the moment Serie A is the weakest league out of the top 3. Serie A will rise again though.:howler: Make no mistake about it. We have the most exciting young talent out of any other league.

Pato, Balotelli, Giovinco, Zarate, Lavezzi, Hamsik, Sanchez, Santon, etc etc. I rest my case.

Premier league fanatics: Yes, you have the best league in the World. We all know this. Could you stop being such cnuts about it?
