I'm interested to see if Gokhan Gonul and Selcuk Inan start this game. Estonia will play a defensive game, we really need creative players like Gokhan Tore on the field.

I don't see why we need a destroyer in the midfield for this match. If we don't win this game it'll be really sad.

But two central midfielders with similar style may cause some conflicts themselves IMO.

I want to see a comfortable win a nice 5-0, 6-0 scoreline. If this one heads into HT 0-0 it will be a major disappointment.

The team really needs to show that they can dictate a match (or at least try to) and not have to rely on counter attacking via long balls.

 

Well of course, I mean no disrespect to Estonia but if we want to show that we are in it for that second spot then we need a big win here. Yes, dictate the flow of the game, nice passing and put away the damn chances. Enough is enough now, no excuse for what we missed vs Holland last game. Fukkin 1v1 situations, anyone else they put those away but us we miss the whole net. At least shoot it at the keeper, ridiculous :wallbang:

 

If we go to the half tied at 0-0, the crowd will be in favor of Estonia for sure.

Anyway, if we lose this game, we can forget about the WC for sure, a draw would be a very bad result indeed, with no offense to our Estonian friends here.

Our aim is to quality and much preferably top the group (even though I think that's not realistic), and any other result other than a win, would be a very big step back on that goal.

By the way, I am really pessimistic. Let's see what happens. I will hopefully be going to the game as well, if I can get out of work on time :groan:

Media is talking about Selcuk as if he is Xavi. There have been games when Selcuk has started and the National Team was still disappointing. Emre and Topal are still good players.

I like this line up, I probably would of liked to have seen Gokhan Tore instead of either Burak or Umut as I really don't rate those 2.

The pleasing thing is that 3 of our backs (Hasan Ali, Semih and Omer) are young and hopefully they get plenty of match practice together to form a solid backline in the future. Gokhan Gonul is a bit older but is still young for a defender.

If only we had some good striker prospects coming through.

 

I don't want to see Gokhan Gonul on the bench if he is match fit and in semi form or better.

 

I don't mind Selcuk Inan coming off the bench, the media needs to stop their propaganda. This is the fukkin NT not club level, there are always going to be 1-2 great options at your position except if that position is LB
