I don't think figo will want to play in front of Camp Nou fans

hopefully we don't start too many of our starters, kind of weird friendly when the league starts before this

It is a real honor to be invited by Barcelona for the Gamper Trophy. It's probably one of the most prestigious, if not the, most prestigious trophy on the face of the Earth in preseason.

That said, this will be played midweek between Weeks 1 and 2 of the Serie A season. I don't know what kind of squad commitment we could provide for such a tie.

One can dream. :hopefull:

Who cares..irregardless what pre-season trophy is more prestigious, it is still a pre-season trophy and worth shit all. Although the risk for injury to our players is still there and totally unnecessary, especially in between weeks 1 and 2 of the Campionato

This is our last chance of a MAJOR wake-up call before the transfer window closes. I hope I can have a hand in the result so I could give a scoreline like 5-0 for Barca.

Hopefully on the 30th we make a real effort to improve our midfield. It is not just a question like "Is our midfield good enough?" but look at our midfield. JZ is 34, Figo is 35, Dacourt is 33, Vieira is 31, Deki is 29 we need a player or three that can actually take over from our current crops of midfielders.

Don´t make me laugh, Jesus Gil trophy?

And Santiago Bernabeu trophy, I don´t know why. They use to invite crappy Brazilian or American teams.

Ramon de Carranza and Teresa Herrera have more tradition, but it´s more on a national level.

This one works:

Chivu causes a penalty, Ronaldinho converts it, 1-0!
