Difference between goodness and completeness, I just don't get it.
The old Maradona-Pele debate...Pele was the more complete attacker but Maradona was just better.

As to the current trio, Messi's ahead of the other two who are about equal to each other in goodness. Ronaldo is obviously the quickest of the lot, best header, shooting power about equal to Ibra, worst free-kicker taker, Messi best dribbler, team player, goal passer, etc...

Ronaldo has best sprint speed but when it come to quickness, Messi is ahead.

Yes that's what I meant. Unless there's an acre of space to run into, Messi is better.

but not in this case. Messi/Cristiano dont suck in anything while having just few strong which makes them better. Messi is the best dribbler, best goal scorer, best assister and one of the best passer and creator in the world. Now how much more complete you need an attacker to be?
You also forgot that Messi is a better teamplayer as well. Ibra seems to hit a brick wall when he is not the absolute reference point of a team.

one-season-wonderness isn't an uncommon phenomenon. we can only judge el sha at this time next year. mid-oct of 2013 at the earliest. he's in great form presently, but labeling him as a great player already is jumping the gun. comparing him with ibrah is really jumping the gun.

Yeah he wasn't exactly cheap. Wasn't it like €10M + Merkel? Btw. this is what I said about El Sha just 2 1/2 months ago, before Milan's match against Atalanta. Speaks volumes about his recent development.

"Am particularly interested in Shaarawy. Even if he's a player with the future ahead of him, think he'll need to put in a good performance here or at least very soon show that he's the right player for this club. We all know that for a young player with a lot of potential, there's not a long way from being a starter at Milan to sit on the bench somewhere in Serie B. You just don't get that many chances to shine at this level, where you're expected to deliver right away (even when we take into consideration Milan's process of rejuvenation and the fact that we're forced to be more patient with youngsters)."
