So this is our first game for the 2014 WC qualifiers.
Obviously, only 3 points and a comfortable win will be acceptable. I want our boys to be creative and have fun out there.

This game is really just a warm up game for the Holland match which takes place 4 days later.

Stadium: The beautiful Estadi Comunal, Andorra la Vella

Time: 20:30 ET

Hajra Magyarok!

hey it's Andorra after all. but still a tricky match up there in those montains. they will go bunker it up with 11 rugby players and give us a hard time. ok, most teams manage to come out with a comfortable win, but a 0-1 with loads of sweat coming down and nerves being lost is also not out of the question.

HEre's the roster for Andorra:
Goalie:
Bogdán Ádám (Bolton Wanderers)
Király Gábor (1860 München)
Megyeri Balázs (Olympiakosz)

Defenders:
Halmosi Péter (Szombathelyi Haladás)
Juhász Roland (Anderlecht)
Korcsmár Zsolt (Brann)
Laczkó Zsolt (Sampdoria)
Lipták Zoltán (Győri ETO)
Mészáros Norbert (DVSC-Teva)
Varga József (DVSC-Teva)
Vanczák Vilmos (Sion)

Midfielders:
Dzsudzsák Balázs (Dinamo Moszkva)
Elek Ákos (DVTK)
Gera Zoltán (WBA)
Gyurcsó Ádám (Videoton)
Hajnal Tamás (VfB Stuttgart)
Koltai Tamás (Győri ETO)
Koman Vladimir (FK Krasznodar)
Pintér Ádám (Zaragoza)
Szakály Péter (DVSC-Teva)

Attack:
Németh Krisztián (Roda)
Priskin Tamás (Alanyija Vlagyikavkaz)
Szalai Ádám (Mainz)
Szabics Imre (Sturm Graz)

Seemingly Varga is sick, and Szabics has an ankle injury. They might be functional for Netherlands, though.

theese dudes would own Holland :)

The important thing is to play well defensively. They gotta work on some strategies that they will employ on Tuesday against Holland. Obviously two different calibres, but the Andorra game is a chance to practice some defensive tactics and strategies ahead of the Holland game. This way they have a chance to shock the Dutch with a tie or even a win. Sounds silly but is Belgium that much better than Hungary?

we have to beat holland...think about it..everyone says estonia is good so a 2nd place team can conceivably be 3-5. We would have no chance of going to playoffs. That would be the worst 2nd place record so we wouldnt have a shot. Nobody is mentioning this.. think we will get 2nd place but we have to be 5-3 in games against holland, turkey, romania and estonia to be a 2nd place playoff team..might as well go form first place

One good news after the depressing (no other word) game against Israel: seemingly after the game, in the locker-rooms, all the players were really upset and sad, kind of like after a defeat. That is very good news, indeed - that they were beyond unsatisfied, that they were upset and perhaps even angry about the result, and how the team played.

Reminds me of what I heard after the last away Holland game, in which the guys were really outstanding in many ways - that again they were very dissatisfied and upset for not holding at least to draw.

This is the attitude change that gives me hope, notwithstanding the low-key energy-lacking performances with Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Israel. This is the attitude that brought a different Nt in the last two years, and a performance that went beyond the capacity (at the moment, and on paper) of the team. And the thing that was missing for years. So, it is hopeful to hear that.

TBH at the same time egervari is kinda slacking now with this new magyar mentality of we go for the win and only that!

In his least interview he said something like, " It would be amazing if we came out with 6 points after these next 2 games, but I would not be unpleased with 4"...

Like excuse me.............. **** you egervari.... no... its 6 points and only 6 points that we are aiming for.. ne balfaszkodjal es mutasjuk meg a vilagnak hogy meg most is benunk van attila vere

.....We're playing Holland. I think 99% of this forum would be delighted with 4 points from the next two games, realistically.

ok of course, so would I, but imho, I think a coach should have more of an aggressive approach. I feel like he just says this stuff too save his ass if we dont get a good result.

If we loose, I know he is going to say, well it was expected, holland are amazing... ok yeah they are, but the attitude has to be more assertive and more of a "win" minded....

But all in all it all comes down to how we go out onto the field... If we loose, but play our heart out, and sweat blood... always running to the ball, making chances, not ****ing up every pass, taking shots, I would end off proud anyway...then we can say we went out there for nothing but a win, but if we play like we did vs isreal, no drive, our players barely put effort to go in for the ball, mess up passes, then what the ****.......... if you watch the epl, those big teams, every player puts their guts into winning tackles, harcsolnak a labdaert....... we need to do that more. thats how we did so well in the last 2 years, but sometimes we dont do it enough... :\

I think that's what happened after the Holland game's last time. We lost at home, Egervari came out and said we weren't good enough. Lost away, after an incredible performance, and was all praise for the side. We couldn't have played any better in Amsterdam, yet we still lost. Some sides will just beat us however well we play.
