Two goals, clean sheet, three points, good debut for hazard n oscar, great all round (thanks Kat!)....

Luiz with the header, torres looks more useful than last year
not this match, he has been very average and his work rate(which last season was his few of his pluses) is not up to the mark either.
And Oscar is bright, boy has the guts, wants the ball, pass and move attitude is great. Few of the occassions he looked frustated, he pased an moved ahead hoping for the return pass but it dint happened.

FT 2-0.
Chelsea needs a CM end of. Until Oscar came, they rarely had any good moves from the middle aside from counters.

Torres and Lampard full 90 minutes. Should have subbed them off in the second half and brought on Romeu for Lamps and Sturridge for Torres - we were lucky to keep a clean sheet.

3 points is still a good result for us to start things off, but we need to improve especially in midfield and defense.

Ball to Hazard in the first goal came from Lampard, ball to Hazard for the second goal came from Lampard....

As I said in the other thread I think the balance was off, Mata in the hole should be creating a lot more but never got going. Bertrand offered zero movement, passing options or passing himself apart from a good backheel pass. Although he is fast so can run a bit. You would think with the line up the system is a 4-2-3-1 with Lampard and Mikel holding leaving Mata and co. to create but didn't work out that way. Mata dropped deep quite a lot, and Hazard came central quite a lot.

Khalid - Well that was my point, Moses wasn't stopped in anyway by Bertrand being on the pitch. As las says, they got a lot of chances from that defence, against better finishers the day would be a lot worse. But a win is a win, especially against such a potential banana skin team; well done.

Given others failed against west brom n sunderland we will take it, we lost to wigan away for a few years now...

Torres had a goal cleared off the line and nearly won a penalty second half which ref gave a free kick for, if thats very average then we r quite happy...

Match against Man City was a good game for Torres, this game wasn't.

Its ok some players would have an anti- brigade no matter what they do, no need to have the same discussion 38 times this year after every game...

I like Torres in a school girl way personally

Actually our next fixture is against Reading this Wednesday, I expect a few more players to take part of that fixture - since they are a newly promoted side and we need to keep things fresh since our program is going to be a bit congested because of the European Super Cup.

I understand you love him but he was not causing any threat bro. And that clearance, it was a shot from him.
