Rank top 10 best technical players in history or at least grouping it if there is any too equal comparision.

There should be 12 candidates among the best technical player ever ;

Diego Maradona
Garrincha
Pele
Ronaldinho
Rivelino
Ronaldo
Zico
Zinedine Zidane
Lionel Messi
Johan Cruyff
George Best

I agree that ronaldo was an amazing technical player, but I don´t know if he belongs to a top 12 of all times in this subject. ronaldo was too dependent of his physical powers and he had only an average aerial game. he was one of the best dribblers of all times and also a great finisher, that´s it.

Mmm... dilemma without a doubt, but of those who are in your ranking I choose with Ronaldinho, although it is very close, a pity that its peak is not kept for many years. It wouldn't be more include in those 12 djalminha or Rivaldo.

I'm Spanish, sorry if my English ins't good.

This is one of the 'Greatest of All Time' list where I wouldn't consider Di Stefano or Messi imo.
Out of the players you've listed I prefer Ronaldinho, Maradona and Cruyff.

George Best and Roberto Baggio deserve to be mentioned, so does Bergkamp...
Futsal Falcao.

As good as I think Messi is I believe there are many players with better technique in the past years ...

I agree, Di Stefano, Messi, Ronaldo, even Rivaldo and Garrincha don't belong on here. You have players like Dobrin, Omar Sivori, Sindelar who were more technical. Anyways the top 2 would have to be between Ronaldinho and Cruyff with second tier Pele and Maradona.

Maradona is the best technical player ever IMO. Thank God that he played in an era where he could be filmed on a regular basis(his time in Spain and Italy only, because at Argentinos and even Boca there isn't much footage with him from what I've heard).Bergkamp and Cassano should be on a list like this or at least mentioned(Bergkamp and Cassano have a better technique then Ronaldo and Messi and even Ibrahimovic I think tops Ronaldo and Messi). Ronaldo shouldn't be in top 10. Even former Dutch great players agreed that Bergkamp had the best technique of any Dutch player. Cassano is better then anyone in the world at this moment in this department. But the 2 that I mentioned aren't big names such as Cruyff, Best, etc and people find it a blasphemy to name them, but watch their games and you will see that they have nothing to envy Best, Cruyff etc.Agree about Baggio, awesome technique. And from what I've seen from him he's better in this department then Cruyff and Ronaldo. About Messi. I don't know if he would be in a top 10, but he's not that far.

Agree about Baggio as well. He may not dribble as well as some of the other guys, but his technique was top notch in every other respect.

Puskas could be on the list.

What does George best have to with anything? Puskas was an incredible technical talent. This is a top ten. I never said Ferenc was number one or higher than Best. Puskas's touch and vision and undetstanding of the game were top notch.

But I you put Puskas in the top, you're comparing Best and Puskas I think...
Puskas was a technical player, but I think that Best, Ronaldinho or maybe Djalminha was better.

Maybe, but I think Puskas deserves top ten discussion.

For that matter we could discuss Prosinecki for his passing and dribbling and touch.

Technique is not just about dribbling.

Strikers don't need to dribble too much because their main target is to go unmarked, control the ball and shoot.

Puskas had great precision at shooting. That is also technique and it definitely belongs to football.
