Lucas Rodrigues Moura da Silva known as Lucas (born August 13, 1992 in São Paulo), is a Brazilian football attacking midfielder. He currently plays for São Paulo and Brazilian national team. Lucas is in the list of FIFA's players to watch in 2011.[1] He started his professional career under the nickname "Marcelinho", which he earned by playing for a Marcelinho Carioca team on junior level. However, he decided to be called by his name after his family appeal.

The mission of Marco Branca Brazilian side dishes are taking quite positive for the Inter transfers. The primary objectives of the Inter technical director are essentially two: Lucas Moura and Juan Jesus. For the first one is just waiting for the announcement, the agreement between all parties there but we understand if the transfer to the 'Inter will take place immediately or end of the season, while for the 19 year old playmaker of St. Paul points to an immediate arrival at the court of Ranieri. Just testaccino the technician would be the first to push for Lucas immediately saw that the player features are those that Ranieri has long been identified for reinforcement in attack speed, technique, ability to serve large and prolific assists.

The Inter coach would not want a central striker, a so-called first tip, but an outside attacker with the above characteristics more frequently to trigger the various Milito, Pazzini, Forlan (Uruguay in the hope that recovers quickly from the last injury) . So for all Lucas and Branca flew to Brazil just to take the player. The task is not easy but you can carry on and groped to absolve him respecting the expectations of Moratti and Ranieri, the budget for the shot there is everything from this point of view coverage of the club is total. Branca is attempting, therefore, to convince the player to move quickly to 'Inter giving the guarantees that will be used regularly and therefore will not lose the Olympics next summer, the real issue that's affecting the player's choice.

He wants but is afraid to sit on the sidelines of the Exchequer Inter thus endangering its convocation for the Olympic Games in London in 2012. In short, you play all of this because the player got the go ahead then the St. Paul will have no problem signing his transfer to Inter in front of an offering of 25 million euros. In any case, knowledge of the real difficulties in unlocking the operation in January, a number of transfers Inter will still attempt to block the current price for June. Lucas, would be acceptable at the end a success.

Olympics ::thmbdown:

A lot of amazing reports on him, just like Coutinho before... maybe more.

Any Vids.. pls post here.

Younger than Tevez, probably Lucas is the real target.

Acm Got Duped.

But seriously... if you've never seen him play, this is Lucas:

And in case you're wondering why they call him "Marcelinho" in some moments, it's because he was nicknamed "Marcelinho" for a while there - when he was a kid Lucas played in a football school that belonged to a player from the 90s called Marcelinho. Soon after he became a pro Lucas asked all reporters to stop calling him by that stupid nickname and start using his proper name.

Lucio: 'Inter, get Lucas!'

By Football Italia staff

Lucio has advised Inter to sign his fellow Brazilian Lucas. “He’s better suited to Italian football than Neymar.”

The Nerazzurri have long shown an interest in Sao Paolo striker Lucas and director Marco Branca is thought to be in Brazil for negotiations.

“I know Lucas very well and Inter ought to run to sign him straight away,” Lucio told the Corriere dello Sport.

“He is a wide attacker with a great deal of quality, all combined with exceptional pace. He always works hard in training and is a humble lad.

“I remember during the Copa America training he’d often face Dani Alves during games between ranks and it was always a fiery battle.

“I think Lucas is better suited to Italian and European football than Neymar.”

Lucas has already earned 10 senior Brazil caps, but his agent warns a switch to Europe is not imminent.

“We know of the interest, we were informed of the news, but the player does not want to go,” said agent Wagner Ribeiro.

“We are not open to talks because Lucas has expressed an interest in staying. Sao Paulo also have no desire to open negotiations.”

So basically his agent just confirmed he is not coming.

Same goes for Tevez.

Forlan is out injured again and Zarate is not an option anymore.

Wtf are we doing?? :palm:

We are 1 injury away from a crisis. And its not as if Milito-Pazzini are world beaters.

Lucas not coming is right now, that was the story all along.. we want him in the summer and feel it's better to go for him at a younger age then for in his situation I guess for round about the same price, and less wages.

Inter attention, Coutinho key to Lucas!
Possible final surge for the Inter transfers , Lucas in January is not yet a vanished dream. To reopen the track will be the St. Paul Coutinho would like to borrow

Important news to come on the deal you bet Inter Lucas. Apparently frozen for the summer, the deal back to Brazil for a moment catch fire under the blows of a series of indiscretions, both Italian and South American. It seems that St. Paul has requested the availability of the loan until the end of the season Coutinho, the player would already know and have already knocked on the door of Massimo Moratti to be satisfied and thus not risk losing the Olympics in London. At the court of Rainier Coutinho, although appreciated by the coach in a total Inter, he will definitely room until the end of the season because it was too physically frail, still far too immature for a league as tough as ours.

The numbers are not questioned, but the character and the physique to be yes. Speech by Lucas that different in temperament and physical characteristics seems ready to jump and it is precisely for this reason that Massimo Moratti have been pushing for some time in January. Now with Coutinho in the business it is possible that St. Paul softens and agrees to give the player already in this market window. Operation that is still feasible but more difficult than a few days ago. Meanwhile, Brazil comes a sensational rumor according to which Lucas last Thursday, his entire entourage and even the family would have attended a dinner with Marco Branca, during which it was reiterated in an operation not immediate but at the same time a number of Kick Inter Inter has awakened the desire in the boy and his entire environment.

Clear that the deal is complicated, but in January the last days of the market there are always surprised with sudden jolts and surprises are just those things that until five minutes before seemed impossible and pure utopia to think of sending them into port. In short, Lucas and Inter could inflame the last few days, if not the last hours of reparation of the market, so let us not lose sight of the movements of Corso Vittorio Emanuele. http://www.italiah24.it/sport/calci...o-calcio/90503/calciomercato-inter-attenzione-coutinho-la-chiave-per-lucas.html
January still possible.... Couti on loan makes perfect sense... only that Serie A clubs would be better.

The 19-year-old was the club's joint top scorer last season as they struggled to a sixth-placed finish and is reportedly also attracting interest from the majority of Europe's biggest clubs.

Lucas has already picked up 10 caps for Brazil, scoring one goal against Argentina last September.

The attacking midfielder was also named in Mano Menezes' squad for 2011's Copa America.

A release clause in Lucas' contract is thought to be worth close to €88 million (£66.8m) but the Blues (Chelsea) are unlikely to be willing to pay anywhere near that amount.

Chelsea seem keen to bolster their midfield and are apparently close to sealing a deal for Belgian youngster Kevin de Bruyne as well as having a bid turned down for Shakhtar's Brazilian playmaker, Willian.== Goal
We are competing v Chelsea  WTF Guardian/Goal say its €88 million (buyout) type of deal.
